BYU begging for Big 12 invite

Is this an accurate headline? Not sure "begging" is the right word, perhaps pitching, selling, vying, asking......etc.

BYU really needs an invite otherwise it will be in a lower division. We are already a step behind the P5 conferences, this will make the difference even more noticeable.......I am in the camp that things will not remain "as is" and believe this could be the thing puts up an insurmountable wall for us that segregates us even more so for the power teams and recruiting. I am happy BYU is pushing hard to get an invite, I hope BYU has the goodwill to get a few teams in the Big 12 to "champion" this effort. If they could get TX on board I think the rest would fall.

Still not sure it happens soon, but like the effort. TX really helped Utah by not heading to the PAC 12, TX now needs to throw us a bone.
