Go fast, go hard...
I am watching Montana vs. North Dakota State right now. Montana uses the same style offense as we do. Twice they now had to settle for field goals because of too hasty play. The OC stated as goal to have fifty snaps in the first half. As with our Samoan fire knife dude OC, that stat seems to be more important than points on the board.
That style of offensive play will continue to expose our more than questionable defense, as time of possession will again heavily be in our opponents' favor. I get the benefits (wearing the opponents' defense out) but those are so heavily outweighed by the disadvantages that I am once again being compelled to be a realist when it comes to our chances vs the likes of Nebraska, UCLA, Michigan, Missouri...

Montana is playing the best team in their division...and it's not close. But they are tied shortly before halftime. And just hit a huge play to tie it because of the pace.

Fun fact: I played in that stadium back in my glory days.
I'm just a regular, everyday normal guy,
I can't afford a car, I use public transportation,
I don't mind, I read till I reach my destination,
sometimes a newspaper, sometimes a book,
the money I save, this stuff is off the hook,

It's hard to wear down your opponent when you have a bunch of quick 3 and outs, mixed in with false start penalties and personal fouls here and there.

Re: Go fast, go hard...
Didn't last years offense average a virtual tie with the 06 offense in points per game? Weren't they using a back up QB doing it? I don't see getting in the endzone as a problem anymore. It was mostly a problem year 1 of the GFGH because no one (including the coaches) knew how to run the offense. I can't believe people are still whining about it.

Re: Go fast, go hard...
North Dakota State is top football team. The Grizz not only beat them they had 544 yards to 427! They did this with 24.31 minutes to 35.27 minutes for ND State. I'd say ND was lucky to get as close as they did. They have a new coach from an even smaller school who obviously isn't afraid to use innovation. They have always been fun to watch and have a great record over the past dozen years. If they are using go fast, go hard more power to them.

Re: Go fast, go hard...
I just read that Montana ran 92 plays in the game. Go fast go hard works if you work it right. North Dakota wasn't just good they were ranked #1 and are 4 time national champions.
