Reports are saying he will enter the transfer portal when it opens in November and will transfer somewhere else for his remaining eligibility. He feels he isn't used to his abilities at BYU.

Side note: He led or tied (week 2) TEs in receptions in every game this season with 3/39, 1/9, 5/38. Maybe he feels like he should be getting more targets? Or not be asked to block so much? I don't know.

As someone who transferred schools twice in undergrad, I cannot say that he's doing something bad.

As a football fan, I cannot think of a single catch that he's made that someone else on the team could have done just as well. Hopefully he finds what he's looking for. I don't see this as a bad thing.

My feeling after reading a few articles where each includes a few detailed quotes from the father: Either the dad has been thinking about the transfer for a long time and has finally convinced Dallin, or Dallin and his father have been thinking about the transfer for a long time and decided midseason to pull the trigger.

By leaving this early in the year, this basically is his redshirt year (he hasn't used one yet) and he will have 2 more years to play starting next year. Word on the radio is that his wife is still at BYU so he is probably going to Utah who have Kuithe and Kincaid playing their senior years this year. The interesting thing is though there is 9 other TEs on the Utah roster. So we'll see if that is the destination.

I understand looking for an opportunity. I understand we haven't exactly showcased our TE talent much this season so far.

Dumb questions: Does he stay practicing and playing with the team until he transfers? Or is it more like poof he's off the team because he is transferring?
