Scheduling of TX Games - Read Between the Lines
The Cougars’ 2011 regular-season football schedule includes two games in the “Lone Star” state:
Texas (Sept. 10 in Austin)
TCU (Oct. 28 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington).
Now we are locked into the ninth annual Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl.
Opponent from Conference USA (Friday, Dec. 30, at SMU’s Gerald J. Ford Stadium in University Park, Texas).
Coach Dupaix's major stomping ground for recruiting - ah yes, that would be Dallas, TX and surrounding areas. Ty Detmer also can now send referrals to watch us play in his backyard.
Seems like we are trying to get a lot of TV, fan and exposure to potential recruits in the Lone Star state - increased opportunity for landing some big time recruits as a result of this scheduling. Gotta love it.

I'm okay with them hating us as long as they send their kids to play for us.

Could it also be a way to "parade" the team in front of Texans in a way to apply more pressure on the B-12? "Texans want to see BYU play in Texas" and that sort of thing.
