Come on now MWC, don't be timid. Tell us who you are rooting for.

Well, I'll tell you that we are rooting for BYU ... to not win. It's no different than you guys not rooting for Boise, Utah, or TCU to win. BYU has parted ways with the MWC and therefore there is no longer any reason to root for you guys. We're all a little angry right now but we'll be feeling a little sympathetic for you after you go 7-5 this year with losses to Washington, AFA, TCU, Utah, and FSU. College football is an emotional sport for fans with lots of ups and downs.

The problem for you guys is that you rarely make headlines with on the field performance, and when you do half the time its because you won a big game and half the time it because you lose a big game, and lose it bad. Independence was a way for BYU to get some media attention. The scary thing is that nobody seems at all concerned with a game that is two days away. This "Independence" distraction was really bad timing if you ask me. It has made all of your heads grow a couple of sizes larger than they already are. Pride cometh before the Fall. BYU has a history of big hype, and then a really big letdown. If I were you I'd be praying for history to not repeat itself.

Washington 2010 ??????

Florida State 2009

TCU 2008

UCLA 2007

Can I get you a tissue?

BSU would go independent too if it was in their interest. It isn't. They can't. The next best thing is to join the MWC. They did

Along those same lines, Wasn't it in BSU's best interest to leave the sinking ship known as the WAC? Aren't you being a little judgemental about jumping conferences? Shouldn't you feel bad that you screwed over the WAC??? No way, cause you know it was smart. BYU's was a smart move too.

Should I care who you are rooting for? No. Did you ever root for BYU before? probably not.

You're saying that BYU only makes headlines for off the field stuff, big wins and big losses....umm...what else is there? What team in the country doesn't fit that criteria? Your Broncos certainly fit that criteria perfectly. When the Broncos beat San Jose State it doesn't make any headlines any more then when BYU beats UNLV.

I can focus on this UW game all I want and it won't make any difference in the outcome. You see I'm not on the team. I'm not a coach for the team. The fans can talk and focus on whatever they want and it doesn't mean squat. The team is focused on UW that much as shown by interviews with Bronco and our players this week.

BYU has a history of big hype, and then a really big letdown. If I were you I'd be praying for history to not repeat itself.

The vast majority of media outlets around the country are picking UW to win this one. Vegas is picking UW to win this one. UW has the Heisman Trophy prospect and the stud running back, not BYU. The way I see it UW is the team that is getting all the hype for this game, not BYU. Independence is a huge topic and it's a big deal but nowhere is anybody saying "Since BYU declared independence they are going to beat UW this week."

Here are the victories where BYU wasn't the team getting the hype:

TCU 2006 31-17

UCLA 2008 59-0

Oklahoma 2009 14-13

Washington 2010????

Vegas has BYU as a 2.5 pt favorite.

Show me what sucks about BSU's history.

Besides being uncompetitive against SEC teams? And scraping by bottom-of-the-barrel teams like Tulsa, Idaho, Nevada, and Louisiana Tech every season with one of the worst schedules in football? And having the 120th best academics in I-A?

Going undefeated and still only having 30,000 people show up to the stadium. Not even selling out every game in 2009.

Word. Ha ha last night the running back coach got arrested for DUI...He did not get the memo to quit celebrating BSU's entry into the MWC...One overlooked benefit of BYU going indie: we will not have to play BSU in BB at the Taco Bell Arena...hahahahahahahahahaha

Gary Patterson said on the radio TCU won't be playing BYU in football again. Big surprise from the short fat four-eyes ain't it?

At the same time, he expects SMU to keep scheduling the Frogs even after they ditched C-USA...

Hey Gary...... I might have some tickets to a real game (BYU vs Texas or BYU vs Notre Dame) if you're interested. Oops... I forgot. You don't need to go to the stadium to see it. You'll be able to watch it on your TV from anywhere in the USA....
