Faried remind me of an extremely athletic version of Udonis Haslem, but with no shot outside the paint.

Martin would be an awesome get for the jazz, I've always hated that guy cause he's so dang smooth.

I get the impression that most draft gurus and gms believe that 10-15 is a reach for Faried, but I just feel like he's a sure thing, much like I felt Danny Granger then Javale McGee then Roy Hibbert (though definately different types of players) were.

It's not like the Jazz could do worse than their recent mid round picks; they have not done well in the 10-20 range. Faried will not hurt them and still has amazing upside.

Go back and look at the last 10 years of drafts and you'll see that most 7-20 guys don't make it at all. If you know a guy like Faried will be a long term NBA guy, I think you grab him rather than take a flier on a high risk guy with potential... the history suggests that the high risk guy fails 85% of the time. Faried is a low risk guy with a perceived low ceiling; however I think what he brings to the table is so good that you can forgive his lack of an offensive game away from the tin.

Teams like Miami (Haslem) Detroit (Rodman, Ben Wallace) Boston (Powe, Davis, Perkins)have shown that with the right team makeup, that an enforcer and defensive stopper/top notch rebounder can be very very valuable.

There's only one team that I believe really would consider Jimmer before #11 and that's Sacramento... it's also the last place I want to see Jimmer land.

The Maloofs might just ruin his career while they're in the process of ruining their franchise and their entire fortune.

I'm not saying I want Jimmer to go to the Kings (I hate the Kings), but at this point I would be surprised if Jimmer fell to #12. A couple of weeks ago, #12 seemed reasonable, but there's a lot of buzz around him right now. We'll know for sure in just a few more days.

I sang the praises of Faried a while back... and he didnt' disapoint (and no NBA coach will let him take any of those stupid outside shots that killed Fredettes team) but he's a monster on the glass on each end.

But the most impressive player on the court was Chris Singleton - the dude is going to be awesome - he is a steal at #18 to Washington.

The problem is that both singleton and faried should not be shooting 3s. Fredettes team wasted too many possessions to win this game.
