Glad to know that they all have the flu...after slapping high fives with the team after the game.

My thoughts on the game.

Aguirre was playing corner because Howard(?) was out. His family was near me and excited about him being in...I was not that impressed with his play. I hope our Howard gets better...what is wrong with Howard? Secondary seems to be a huge liability at times. That 3rd and 27 that SDSU ended up throwing for a TD was a HUGE disappointment. Rich had two big plays that he got beat on just a little too easily.

Chambers wasn't injured from what I could tell...I was watching him on the sidelines and it looked like they were just working out a cramp in his calf. I just share this cause I thought I saw a thread talking about him being injured.

Pitta is just a player. He had some amazing grabs in that game. Hall thread the needle to him a couple of times and Pitta's TD pass was amazing. I was watching Pitta that whole play and he was jumping up and down waving his hands trying to get Hall's attention.

Pendleton was soft at the beginning of the game but came on strong at the end with some huge stops. I still like him a lot. I wish we took more chances on D and that we would blitz more and do more stunting...I am sure someone smarter than me will come on here and tell me why that is not a good idea.

Over all it was a decent game by the team but I sure hope we don't play that way next week against TCU. Maybe SDSU was pumped for the game because it was BYU and their homecoming game. I had fun, shouted til my throat was sore...then shouted more. I liked my seats and was near enough to the field that you can thank me for some of SDSU's false starts and delay of game calls. ;)

Well, let me say first that I am very glad that we played sdsu earlier than later. Hoke and Long have something building just north of Baja. Their quarterback can thread the ball when he has enough time to set his feet, and they have playmakers in the making. Even more impressive is how agressively they played without chalking up penalties while we had tightends lining up 5 yards downfield and tackles holding on fourth and one. SDSU could be a formidable foe really soon....they made byu work harder tonight than I ever expected.

As for the Cougs, what the deuce was the deal with going for it on fourth and short all game? I appreciate the coaches trying to inject some aggression, but when you are up by 14 with 10 minutes to go and you are 60+ yards from paydirt, you gotta just punt the ball away.

Hall was fantastic....2nd straight game without a turnover, but our receivers were dropping passes faster than the Aztecs drop scholarships. Our O-line was pushed back more tonight than they have been all season, and the defense waited 3.5 quarters to show up as a unit. I'm happy with the overall result given that SDSU is vastly improved and was running different schemes all night as well as the flu bug.

They have a lot to keep them humble leading up to TCU.

This week, a win is a win. I'll take it!

It's next week against TCU that the voters will really be watching. Unless they have DirecTV that is (game is on Versus).
