The Big lEast

the Big East, has now become even more pathetic. Just a year after they sent an unranked UCONN team to the BCS (which got the worst TV rating of all the BCS games). They are now down to 6 football teams.



Louisville, West Va, UCONN, Cincinnati, Rutgers, & South FL.



There is no way that conference deserves an auto bid! If they keep their bid, it would prove once again how jacked up the system is.

Pitt & Syracuse left a few weeks ago and now TCU is gone

oh I thought someone else left, Big East is gone, if they don't expand they lose BCS status iirc.

Big Easy may lose more. They will expand by jacking Conf USA, AFA, Army, and or Navy, etc. or do some East West thing with MWC and a playoff.

The Big East is not going away. They are not giving up their BCS seat and I'm not sure why anyone on this site has a problem with that anymore??? Please don't tell me you are closet MWC fans!?! Don't be surprised if the Y doesn't get an invite to the Big East along with Air Force if the Big 12 thing doesn't work out. That would put us in a BCS bowl almost every year and who could complain about basketball in Madison Square Gardens!

I thought they couldn't automatically keep their BCS seat because you need eight members of the original conference.

BYU isn't going to go to the Big East.



It just isn't feasible for travel expenses, and the money isn't there to cover that up.

I think they need 5 orginal teams to keep the BCS bid.
