Wilson out for year

It's too bad, we all hate to see it, but Friel will be the next great BYU tight end, he has no equals athletically, he's big, he's strong, he's fast, and linebackers cannot cover him, DBs are too short to cover him. Pencil him in right now as an all-american in a year or two. Holt and Mathews will play and play well, but Friel will be the best of all of them.

I think you're selling Holt short. He's going to be awesome as he continues to improve.

I agree about selling holt short, he'll be good. But I do like the nasty streak friel has, he baited number 95 into the unnecessary roughness penalty, he also was told by the white hat to calm it down when they got near the goalline because he was blocking a little too long. That sucks about Wilson, he was starting to look really good.

+1 Ditto on the "sucko" news. Dang! Injuries to key players hurt. Wilson is very talented. Is it too late to get an injury Blue Shirt? It's nice to have the ability to rotate & keep fresh bodies in the line-up.

well he sure got under oregon state's skin.

Wilson is a great TE. but it's one of the few positions we have depth. I'm more than comfortable replacing Wilson with Holt and Friel. more nervous below them.



I've had Wilson's exact injury. Let's hope he recovers faster than I did or he won't be playing next year either.
