Props to Utah State

Well, now people are reporting that the silence lasted only three minutes. If that's the case, I take some of it back. It's still petulant and BYU-myopic to do that when there's a big game on the line, but it's not a complete abandonment of your team.

My daughter is a jr at USU. As a BYU fan she was told on the Monday after the football game that she should be punched in the face because she is a BYU fan. This came from a mid 20's married male.



After the football game this fall, (she and I went together) a girl in front of us, who is 18 or 19, was accosted by a couple that looked to be in their 40's. They were angry because she had used some profanity supposedly directed at them. Having our season tickets now for 7 years and knowing this family well, I have heard a lot of stuff from her as she has yelled at opposing fans, but I have never heard profanity. I finally had to get in the way and tell them to act like adults and walk away. My daughter looked at me and said, "I really hate the way fans of my school act." She is not a USU fan in any way because of the way she has been treated by so many people in Logan. Kind of sad to be disgusted by fans of the school you attend.



She and my wife were texting tonight about the protest and my daughter is now convinced that she goes to school with morons. Sad really.
