The game changed when Cusick came in. Changed the Ute defense.

Utah should run their one-minute drill offense more often. I think it doubled their points in the second half.

He still sucks on defense

Curious to see what Carlino actually will do for this team. Hoping brings better ball skills, post delivery and more consistent shooting. If so, get better in a hurry.

:bug: is Caroline injured? I thought he was planning on playing in one week.

I think Lawboy was saying the team will get better in a hurry once Carlino comes back.



But feel free to correct me, Lawboy, if I'm wrong.

Hopefully Carlino can shoot from the outside - it's what we're missing most from the PG spot.



Winder and Cusick didn't scare Utah, so they could play a soft double team on the post entry pass. This is made it tough to get the ball to Noah and Davies.



But what an ugly game. Utah had no desire to win that game. They just wanted to keep BYU from blowing them out.



They had NO offensive game plan. They just wanted to waste 28 seconds of each shot clock and they run towards the hoop and throw themselves at a BYU defender while attempting an awkward, off-balance shot. Sometimes the refs would bail them out with a foul.



They had no plan on how they could win that game. So they wanted to make an awful and ugly game.



On a different note, fans shouldn't talk to fans of their rival if they don't know who they are. I had some father and his son (16 or so) tell me to shut up on two separate occassions and 54-10, 54-10 54-10. I don't know you. Don't talk to me. Worry about your own sorry program and how they can't even beat their rival (Colorado) in their biggest game of the year.

Davies hasn't hit a shot at the top of the key all season.

He's usually money from 15 feet on either side of the free throw line, though.

This was the worst officiated game I have ever seen. Ute fans may enjoy the advantage of biased reffing but the other shoe will fall once they get into conference play and they are on the receiving end as the low womenon the totem pole.

Sometimes at rivalry games, if I see a U fan sitting near me (or any visiting team fans, really), I try to get a word or two of chit-chat in - try to establish that whatever awful stories he or she has heard about BYU fans, they're the exception and not the rule.

When Noah left the game, the announcers were befuddled by the smattering of boos heard. One of them even said, "I'm not sure what that's about!"



Well it's about being surrounded by some of the least classy fans in the nation.
