Baylor @ BYU

Did Baylor bring some BYU holograms to the game? We have had about 4 passes thrown to nobody, I mean no one is even near them, just thrown into open space.

Is Zylstra helping out at all??

I hope we can keep up the pace on the 18-5 rebounding edge.

Zylstra hasn't done much, but has tipped some rebounds to other guys; "hustle" stuff.

Harrison finally playing with some confidence.

Damarcus with the three! He's looking MUCH more confident than he has the past few games.

Zylstra gets the home-team bounce with the three off the rim, then glass, then in!

This game is the polar opposite of last Saturday's soul-sucker. We've got 32 points with six minutes left.

If Heslip's not shooting a three, Baylor doesn't look like they know what to do on offense.

HUGE steal and dunk by Damarcus! Easily his best game of the year, just when we need it most!

Let's see if the home crowd energy helps Anson Winder pick up his game, I assume he'll be playing off with Carlino still in.

And Carlino hits a three for his first points as a Cougar!

I'm left-handed but it's still always a little weird to see left-handed QB's and point guards.

The offense has slowed down a bit heading into the half. Winder hits one of two free throws for the 34-42 lead.

Great half, ugly finish. 42-38.



Baylor started rebounding and defending better the last few minutes to cut into the lead.

Baylor took our best shot in the 1st half and got back into the game. We are going to have to cut out the turnovers in the second half.



Zylstra has been terrible. He is just outclassed by Baylor's talent. If Rogers was healthy I wonder if he would have gotten his minutes.



The other big concern is Abouo's and Davies foul trouble.



On the bright side Carlino seemed to settle in as the half went on. Harrison's quickness and length really helped our zone.



This was Davies' best stretch in a really long time.I hope he stay as aggressive around the hoop.

Surprisingly, Nate Austin was the only one (on BYU) to play in the first half without scoring.

I think their length got into our heads early, with guys making passes more difficult than they needed to be.

Abouo and Davies are taking it to the rim early.

Baylor's doing a better job of working the ball into the post on offense.
