Selfish like Jimmer or selfish like JT?

Good question. Usually it's crazy to shoot over 20 3-pointers in one game, but he made 43% of them last season.

Yeah, usually I am not too keen on 1 player taking 23 3 pointers in a game, but if he makes 12 of them, I guess you can't complain. We definetly could have used that percentage over the last few games.

If someone is shooting that well, keep feeding them the ball. The problem I have is what happens when a player isn't shooting that well in the next game but still thinks he's entitled to take 23 three pointers.

The number of shots he will take with the Y will depend on the role that he is asked to play. With Jimmer, the offense was played through him either shooting or assisting - but it always went through him. Next year, with Davies, Austin, I still believe we will be an inside-out team but one that likes to pressure the opposition and run in transition.

It would be nice if he had enough handles to spell Carlino when he got into foul trouble or needed a breather. That way we wouldn't have to play Cusick as much so our defense wouldn't suffer so bad. I was hoping Winder could fill that role but he's much better suited to play the 2 as his ball handling skills probably aren't what they'd need to be

1. Carlinos own handles need to improve immensely

2. As Matt gets stronger and in better shape, I expect that he'll start playing Jimmer like minutes, which means the point is under control for 3 more years

3. We actually tried Zylstra at the point... Winder has much better handles than Brock

4. Yes, Delgado can bring the ball up the court. Think of a little bit slower but fairly polished Dennis Clemente from Kansas State. Not a true point guard, but capable.

Agree Winder is better than Zylstra but Winder gets in trouble trying to dribble through traffic. At least he tries though whereas Cusick gets scared. I'd take a Clemente clone in a heart beat, especially if that means Winder and Delgado would be manning the 1 and 2 defensively

It's obvious that we need another guard that can push the pace. When Cusick man's the point he plays to not make mistakes and totally kills our offensive Rhythm. He's tentative and plays scared at times. Maybe this guy will help us in that department

I know we have become enamored with guard play the last few years and I am probably in the minority here but I would like to see another big body added. It seems to me that the 4 and 5 positions are the most physically demanding, the easiest to get in foul trouble, and have the most potential to win or lose the psychological battle.

If C.C. is able to return and we add Harward we should be in pretty good hands if Harward is any good. Plus, there's Sharp but he's a toss up

We are actually pretty stacked at the 4 and 5 positions.

We have Davies, Harward, Austin, Sharp, and Ccoll if he can get back. Not enough minutes for all those guys next year if Ccoll gets healthy and Austin continues improving. Harward will be pretty good too, and ready to play next year.

Ccoll will be evaluated as to whether or not he can play, and if he can't he'll give up his schollie (along with martineau) and they'll bring another big body in, and I suppose that Delgado will take Martineau's soon to be vacant schollie?

Or does that actually put us one up?

I hope Harward puts on some weight over the summer or he will really get pushed around. He looks like he weighs less than 200 pounds. I know some of these guys have a difficult time gaining weight.

My off-season wish list includes 20 lbs on Austin as well.

20 more pounds on Austin would be punishing to defenders, I like it.

I would be more than happy to donate a few extra lb's I'm not using.
