Who is the most overrated team in CFB this year?

USC hands down. They are currently 5th in the pac10 right now i believe yet are ranked wherever they are after 3 losses.

We have been severely overrated in spots the last couple years... There is no way we crack the top ten and breach the top 5 in the nation. We have been the benefit of a "buster" push... So I reserve my judgement in light that more than half the teams discussed here (if not all) could absolutely demolish us on the field... (We talk about how overrated USC is, but I would piss my pants if we had to play them on a nuetral field. That said, it is nice to see them lose - again and again - and again.)



I think that we belong in the twenty somethings, if I'm being honest. Our D is piss-poor and our O leaves much to be desired on most nights (unless you play WY).

I think USC is overrated. Also Houston for sure, maybe even BSU in a few games.

Cincy has 6 games won by 3 scores or more. Similarly ranked teams:



Florida--5

Alabama--6

Texas--8

TCU--7

Boise--6



Looks like Cincy is doing about par for the course for "killing" teams. Bump it to four scores:

Again, Cincy in right at home with similarly ranked teams.

Based on last week alone, BYU is the most overrated team. Number 22 teams do not need field goal kickers of winless teams to clank field goals off goal posts and miss extra points in order to win a game

Well, if we're basing this on a single game, I could probably look through the top 25 and most all of them would be overrated...

That's worse than givng up 55 points at home to previously unranked (in the BCS) Stanford? If we're talking about 1 week's worth of evaluation, you'd have to go with USC right? They were number 9 in the BCS and the highest ranked team in their conference. In the AP Poll they received 727 more votes than Stanford, and Lost to Stanford, while BYU only received 219 more votes than UNM, and beat UNM.

It's hard for me to say USC is overrated right now, since I think they'd beat many if not most of the teams ahead of them.

And what makes you think that? The way they got drubbed by both Oregon and Stanford? Or was it the way that they barely beat Oregon St, Arizona St, and Notre Dame? I know, it was their stellar loss to a 3-win Washington, right?

I would love to play USC in our bowl game this year. 2009 - the year we beat both OU and USC!

It's a close call. I was only looking at Saturday and you have the number 22 team lucky to win against a winless NM team and the number 9 team losing big time to a very hot Stanford who put 51 on Oregon. If SC had been lucky to beat WSU I'd have voted for them. But like I said close. I really hope the Cougs awake from last week's bad dream and play agqinst AF like we know they can play

They also beat Ohio State, in Columbus, and thumped a very good Cal team.

I agree that 7-3 is mediocre for USC, just saying that considering the opponents they've faced #22 seems about right.
