Why have we been losing good players because of a lack of scholarships when it was obvious to the fans last year that Collinsworth would never play again. Same with Rogers.

This makes the loss of Harrison hurt even more. It shouldn't have taken as long as it did to determine that Collinsworth and Rogers weren't going to be healthy and able to play. Both could have easily be let go much sooner than they were and a scholarship made available for Damarcus.

Which means that Dave Rose is too stubborn and needs to admit when he is wrong. He didn't give Harrison his scholorship back because Harrison had committed to going on a mission. Rose's philosophy is that he "holds them to their word" when a player commits to go on a mission so he didn't give Harrison his scholorship back when he couldn't go this year. Thus we lost an awesome talent because of Rose's stubborness.

Dude, it's yet to be determined if Harrison WILL BE an "AWESOME" talent as he was still very raw. Rose didn't give him his scholarship back because there wasn't one to give at the time.....He held Harrison to his word and had to plan accordingly. Where do you dream up this CRAP?!?!

I used Rose's own words when asked how he manages the missionary program. He says that when kids commit to him he gets it out of them up front as to when they are going to go and if they change their minds he reminds them of their commitment. I was illustrating absurdity by being absurd on this one since it was not harrison's fault that he wanted to come back this year. But isn't this the type of thing you hear on the football forum about Bronco?

As far as Harrison's talent, he was the most athletic person on our team last year. Bronco took a great athlete with no football experience and turned him into a first rounder. Rose refused to give the guy Bronco turned into a first rounder a scholorship and now yanked a scholorship from Harrison. Shouldn't he develop this talent instead of running it off the team? Once again illustrating absurdity by being absurd.

To be fair, Harrison was just about the worst offensive player on a team last year that struggled badly to make 3 point shots.

Well, that is a coaching problem. With harrison's talent shouldn't he have been coached up to make those shots? And with his athleticism, shouldn't he be starting over less athletic guys at the expense of losses? Rose should always be developing the more talented guys at the expense of losses.

Tell me we're still jesting with some of this stuff...

I'm illustrating absurdity by being absurd. I am spewing some of the same stereotypical BS that is being leveled at Bronco in the football forum at Dave Rose. I love coach Rose and will be devistated when he leaves BYU. Just like when Bronco leaves. BYU is unbelievably lucky to have two of the best coaches we have ever had at BYU in our two major sports and just because the footaball team struggled with a difficult schedule and injury people think Bronco is one of the worst in all of college football. It makes me sick.

Well, take two Tylenol and put on some big boy pants and realize its two different things. One of the great lies and hoaxes put out by current politicians is that it's somebody else's job to create equality of results. Bronco is reaping what he is sowing with the fans. Rosé stays clear of pitches in the dirt and rumbles in the weeds. Rosé may or may not have a very good year, but he will not draw as much ire because he rarely makes stupid personnel decisions with who he has. To call Harrison more athletic than Winder is just so off. Total non-sequitur. Like Rose is responsible for DHs poor shooting %. good one.

You may not agree with some fans' issues with Bronco but that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Sorry, the whining we've endured over the last 3 months from Bronco haters has been an out of control cry-baby fest. Look in the mirror and repeat your advise.

BroncoBot, don't you know that all of the basketball team's success is due to Rose and all of the football team's success is in spite of Bronco.

Dave Rose has accomplished several things that Bronco has not, not the least of which is that Rose has eaten Utahs lunch in recruiting and on the court..... The resurgence of Utah hoops would be a terrible thing and Coach Rose has helped ensure that will not happen.

I'm happy that this years game is at the MC, because this is the weakest team that BYU has fielded in 5+ years but I have no doubt that we win.

Not getting Jordan Loveridge was a big loss though. He would have been a huge upgrade at the 4 this year, even as a freshman.

Loveridge, Parker, Emery, Haws, Mika, Collinsworth plus Austin, Harward, Nielsen, Carlino, Sharp, Worthington, Winder, Delgado (I doubt we sign Ambrosino if we signed Loveridge, and we'd still be over the scholarship cap by 1) would be one hell of a deep young team.
