Agreed. Notwithstanding we left some pops on the floor tonight, strong finish to a disappointing end of season.

Austin also shows some good promise for Next year. He needs to bulk up a bit.

Congrats Cougs on your NIT run. You earned back some national Respect.

The cougars had a great run to end the season. It's been a fun and entertaining few weeks. Thanks for the ride Cougars.

Don't hold your breath on any added bulk.

Signed,

Garner Meads

Lee Cummard

Steven Rogers

Mark Bigelow

Nate Austin v.2012

etc.

etc.

etc.

BYU basketball has almost zero history of players adding bulk/strength when needed

Austin needs to hang out at the Kaufusi home and eat some bread fruit and other Poly food.

I really enjoyed this NIT tournament play. I admit, I counted the days till each game. The Coug boyz kinda reclaimed themselves. They finished with some confidence builders, and should feel good about their effort. I was proud of our guys. Though I wish the game tonight ended different. Baylor was truly the better team. They really had some ball players.

Thanks for the effort and some great basketball guys!

So close. In the end it was turnovers that cost us and Baylor's better ball security. Few steals and turnovers didn't allow us to get up the court like we like to.

Good work Cougs. Way to make Baylor work for it.

Will miss watching Davies play ball. Look forward to seeing Carlino, Haws and company play next year. If anything, I am comforted by this teams' resolve. They could have gone into the NIT with their tail between their legs. Instead, they re-grouped, found their identity and played competitively.

all got significantly bigger and better from the time they 1st stepped on campus; it's just been a minute since we've seen a big man seriously improve. Every one of those guys I just named left school as an all conference, all american nominated player. (am I holding my breath that austin improves? notsomuch, but I'm hoping)

The guy I saw locally that recently went from zero to hero was jeff withey at KU. The fans in KC hated him and wondered why he was on scholarship and the last 2 years he was an all american and the best shot blocker in the country.

Those guys all played decades ago.....doesn't really give me any more hope for Austin/Harward to add some muscle/bulk. In fact, it makes me even more doubtful.

Was it me or Austin was not on the floor much except getting lose balls?

Not enough loose balls = "Lose" balls.

Sorry to comment so late, but finally got to see the game. Carlino's cold shooting early on was no accident. Every shot he took was leaning or moving forward. If he pulls up and shoots square to the basket I bet he makes at least half of his shots the first half. Doesn't one of the coaches see this and try to correct it? Seems like it would just take a second to pull the guy aside and let him know what they're seeing. Would have likely made the difference in the game.
