With possible attack in Boston, my heart and prayers go towards that city.

I hadn't even heard of this until I saw this. Terrible, senseless act. I hope those who are injured recover quickly and justice is seen.

I've already heard it hypothesized that it might have been right-wing radicals attempting to show Obama has failed in the war on terror and/or to arrest the recent gold-slide. Didn't take the super-left long to politicize the bombs without any supporting facts.

Count so far is two bombs detonated at the finish line of the marathon, a third found there and "deactivated" by a controlled blast. A fourth bomb found at Boston's JFK library, which either failed in detonating or when police deactivated it started a fire at the library, but no explosion.

Ridiculous.

It's much more likely that these are bombs placed by the left to distract the country now that the House of Horrors abortion case is finally getting some media attention. [baseless accusations can be fun].

OOHH! Baseless accusations!

It was planted by North Koreans to distract us before their missile launch!

Sort of like the speculating that the left was seeking the death penalty in CO to support gun control? ;) Certainly wrong to use a horrible bombing to gain some sort of political advantage. Sickening in fact. My prayers are with the afflicted in Boston. May justice and mercy to the victims prevail.

I'd like to think I had a bit more backing that up than what the left-affiliated media have been throwing out.

Here's a brief rundown of the various media personalities today who have urged people to avoid a rush to judgment against islamists/al qaeda, but have then gone on to opine that it was done by right-wing radicals (despite the detention of a Saudi national suspect).

I accept your point. Trying to score political agenda points over something like this, is wrong.

This country needs bomb control legislation - then only criminals and nuts will have bombs - wait - we may already be there.

Correct me if I am wrong but Obama has said more on this bombing (that he knows nothing) than he has on Benghazi where he knows what happened.

Unfortunately, this is correct.

It is so predictable, this knee jerk reaction from the left. Personally I am beyond getting mad. My reaction is more of exhausted disgust. Here we have a horrendous tragedy - a time to pull together. To render care and get down to the detailed task of finding and catching the guilty. And what do some leftist ideologues do - hurl accusations that have zero evidence or fact. I said some do it - not all. But the fact that anyone would stoop so low, so quickly, with no evidence - it speaks to a serious internal moral compass and character problem.

I have been checking on the death and injury list to see what the latest is. I always fear it will be revised upward as facts become clearer. There is so much confusion surrounding the early hours of such an event. It is truly chaotic mayhem.

The latest reports that I have seen have placed the death toll @ 3. One of these victims was an 8 year old boy waiting to give his father a hug when he finished running the marathon. At least 152 injured, 17 of these in critical condition. At least 10 victims have needed amputations. The hospitals are reporting removing ball bearings from the victims.

The FBI has warned the police to be on the lookout for a "darker skinned black male" with a possible foreign accent. They have video of a man wearing dark clothing, with a hood, carrying 2 backpacks. He is seen on video leaving the scene shortly before the blast. Unless the FBI and police get a lucky break, finding the culprits could be very challenging. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the break.

My heart aches for the victims. I hope for justice.

Never let a good crisis go to waste.

I have heard some on the left are already planning to attempt to use this to try to outlaw reloading gun powder and set legal limits on the total amount of ammunition a person can own (because you could unseat the bullets and use the powder to make bombs).
