Great stats Spiff. Really solid career for Davies. I think Jimmer raised the the bar so high for a stellar season/career, that Davies' may not seem as good as It statistically was.

Part of the reason they say it's tough to follow a legend. And to be honest, his SR season was somewhat disappointing. He was pretty good as a SO and had some really dominant games in the WCC as a JR. But didn't seem to ever really dominate as a SR like we thought he might/should.

His improvement curve definitely leveled off.

Exactly. And then Carlino improved and Davies looked better. Then he surrounded himself with a strong complement at The Portsmouth Invitational and won MVP. All WCC as well.

Lots to be said for both above posts. AND, I might add, that when Brandon played with urgency, he played well, as most would. But, sometimes, it just looked like he would sabotage himself by being half a step slower and that's when the early foul trouble would come.

But regardless, with good late season play and Portsmouth, he may be playing himself into a late draft pick.

Now I've seen Ian Harward, and sure he's in shape, but "cut?" Nah.

More like, Redistributed. Medical redshirt next year, then go from there.

There was a mid season injury too that he played through.

Looks like the "official" story is that Harward is calling it quits with a lingering back injury.

My best guess is that he couldn't find a place to land that would both give him a chance to play and a BYU level education for both he and his wife.

This surprises me. If he was on the team he would have a real chance to play next season. All it takes is one turned ankle and he would be in the rotation.

I wonder who we can get at this late stage.

Well, since Bronson Kaufusi was a better option than Ian, this is not a big loss. Ian is a DII player.

And I will answer this question one more time for the slow people. WOrthington as a freshman is an upgrade over Ian. I'm not trying to bag on Ian, but this was a recruiting error. Bit of bad luck with his back, but the few minutes he did play was proof enough. Ian is not ready for DI ball.

I hope you are right. I thought he brought a paint presence last year on D we didn't have before. This team doesn't have a lot of shotblockers and hope to have a few.
