CougarClawI have no problem with the government knowing everything about me.
I mean what are they going to do? Audit me? refuse to allow me to worship how I may? demand I pay for the birth control of others? Use my money to send weapons to Mexican drug cartels? intimidate political donors like myself so they can perpetually keep themselves in power?
I mean. what could go wrong?

snoscytheWhat's also troubling is the fact that confirming or admitting that the court order exists is an act of contempt--so if Verizon were to admit this was going on before it was public knowledge, the secret FISA court could nail them to the wall.
Just remember that as you see Facebook, Google, Microsoft, etc. deny that the government has direct access to their servers as part of the Prism programme. Evidently it's not a lie if the court forbids the truth?

Even more troubling (at least to me) is how many senators are saying no big deal get over it etc.....
