NFC title game decided and there's good news and bad news. First, the good news: The thugs lost! Now for the bad news: The thugs won!

Seattle CB Sherman rants after win. Rant has split people. Some really like it; others think it classless. Breakout is like this: Seattle fans like it; 49 fans really hate it.

Pot legalitzers connect the fact that the only two states to have legalized pot have sent their teams to the Super Bong er Bowl

Putin says he will respect protesters at Winter Olympics. Amazingly though Russia does not expect protests, mostly beceause they' all strangely happen to be in Siberia....

China pollution being exported to western US. This globalization has gone far enough....

I think Sherman should be suspended from the Super Bowl for his unsportsmen conduct penalty when the game was over. And I am a Seahawk fan.

P.S. NFL cheerleaders file suit over low wages. What a bunch of boobs.

That was Oakland. They get like $1,250 for a year. How cheap.

I'm not a fan of either team... but I say if you are going to interview someone in the moment after he effectively won the biggest game thus far in his career, you should expect nothing less.

Scott - this is not directed at you: I'm finding more hypocricy among sports fans this week because fans that continually lament that we never get a genuine look at what the players think and feel and now falling all over themselves to tell us how appaled they are at Richard Sherman and his antics. Please. Put him in Roman garb, and that scene fits right into Galdiator.

Players gotta realize they're role-models and show more class than that. Take a second to compose yourself after the question is asked; if you can't compose yourself, don't talk to the cameras until you can.

I think we got a pretty good snapshot of Sherman. The rhetoric hasn't slowed down much, and other than the overt anger, hasn't changed much. Seems he comes from the Charles Barclay school of role modeling.

I was also refering to the slashing of the throat after the interception and the game was over. A 15 yard penalty is meaningless. He went after Crabtree then and after the game. No class at all. But then he can blame it on the steriods.

Did you hear that Sherman and Crabtree were mic'd up during the game? News reports are that Sherman went up to Crabtree and said "Helluva game! Helluva game!" When he ran up to him after the INT.

Now, surely Crabtree wasn't looking to be congratulated or consoled by Sherman at that point.

I'm not arguing that Sherman was a role model. I didn't like the choke/throat slash either. But my kids don't watch football, either. It was a great defensive play, though!

I will argue this: To people who claim they want real opinions and raw emotion, they got it Sunday night. If they don't like it, they shouldn't ask for it. We will have ample "Hard fought! Competitiors! Worthy opponents! Team victory! Game plan!" post game interviews forever more. It's news because it wasn't normal.
