Google: World more interested in BYU Football than Utes

Google is showing what the rest of us have already known for quite some time. BYU Football is far more popular than any other team in the state.

BYU fans suck. Our off-season interest is lower than Utah's in-season interest!

Just barely.

Okay, I realized that Google was comparing apples to oranges in my original setup, they were using a topic and comparing it to a single search, which was not what I had intended. I wanted to compare the topic of BYU football and Utah Utes football. I've corrected that and have a new chart.

Forecast shows BYU being non-existent. Is this a sign?

Looks like the page glitched on you, the forecast clearly shows the continuing dominance of BYU Football in terms of interest over the lowly Utes.

Whew! That was strange.

And I wonder how much of Ute chatter is in correlation to BYU.
