wildeoneI was watching the ESPN movie "The U" and I saw that they discussed the BYU upset over Miami and how that was the only game they lost that year. Being 18 I wasn't even alive then so I went onto youtube and looked up the highlights, and i loved it.
So then I thought, "the last time BYU upset a top 5 team was this year", so I went onto youtube and I recalled those experiences, and I gotta tell ya, I still get tingly when I see Jacobsen catch that game-winning touchdown.
What I'm trying to say is, this was a good year, despite FSU and TCU. There were many memorable moments that I will always remember, much more than the losses. This wasn't BYUs year to bust the BCS, TCU has that hands down, but I am very happy about our good wins over Oklahoma and Utah. Hopefully this list of memorable wins will include Oregon State when we play them. We have become spoiled that our 10-win seasons have somehow become dissapointments. Look what we have accomplished.
We are now consistently respected by the national media. Last year, we were still ranked despite having 3 losses.
The media still talks about our games and keeps us high in the rankings even with a few losses, (were 14 in the AP)
We're always considered a power in football, hence the rankings.
We're now getting top-tier recruits to come to BYU. I think next year we will have possibly our most talented team that BYU has ever had.
I am very happy about our year this year, and I am proud to call myself a BYU fan
