How bad of a coach do you have to be if you've never taught your players to not drop the ball in the field of play.

Bronco would have just thrown him under the bus. Kwhitt took all the blame. Saying they need to work on solutions like handing the ball to the ref.

I don't get this idea that Bronco somehow throws people under the bus. Yeah, I heard him after that game (whichever it was), and it just doesn't seem like that big of a deal to say that while part of the problem is coaching, a big part of the problem is players not doing exactly what they've been told to do.

It's like you can't tell a football player what to do anymore and expect that they do it.

Take your Bronco hating somewhere else.

This is funny

A division one coach is hearlded for Molly-codeling a player, saying that the entire team "needs to work on (not hot-dogging)" and another would be bad for holding his player accountable (ie "throwing him under the bus")

Some people are truly straining at gnats to find reasons to hate Bronco. When you have to resort to praising a coach for spouting mindless coach speak and complaining that Bronco doesn't do it you know you have a problem.

Unless of course you really believe that the average college football player needs to be taught how touchdowns work?

Bronco has never thrown anybody "under the bus." Your info column states that you are a BYU fan. You should correct that.

I'd prefer to think I'm a middle grounder and not an all or nothing guy.

Bronco finally took all the blame after the wheels had fallen off. The problem is he was spouting the "execution" piece on implicitly for several of the losses, without fixing the problem. Then injuries stacked up but to his credit he didn't blame that.

But Nick is nuts. Bronco wasn't throwing anybody under the bus and probably should have.

We still don't know why there were so many lapses in execution, penalties, etc even before the injuries. Truth is, his new DC wasn't getting the job done, as evidenced by Brono taking back play calling for a whole game then mysteriously giving it back. Wierd stuff. Who knows the whole truth.

I'm not sure where the "Bronco throws players under the bus" thing came from. Many times Bronco has stated that he and the coaches did not prepare the players in a way they could understand and perform. Bronco often throws himself under the bus. KWhit defends his player after a terrible game changing mistake and all of a sudden he is a player's coach??

Nickhutson is not Wolfie, but there has to be some relationship there. Cousins? Brothers? Father-Son?

Being "thrown under the bus" is completely subjective.

One person can read Bronco or Howell's comments - players missed tackles and need to get better at tackling - as straight forward, factual comments. Another person, particularly one of the players that missed some tackles, could easily read into Bronco's comments and think Bronco is talking about them.

It's a communications phenomenon that happens all the time. Say there is a company meeting to discuss the fact someone is taking one too many of the Monday morning doughnuts. The boss may have no idea who the culprit is but the culprit will still feel singled out as the announcement pertains largely to them.

It's why coach speak, as much as we all hate it, is a sound tactic. Don't give anything to anyone that can be miss interrupted. Speak to the lowest denominator.

This kid was overcoached in his academics. F is for Fumble, and everyone knows F comes before G.

Nick is a typical ute fan, he is a nice and fuzzy warm as long as the utes are winning and they feel superior to BYU. As soon as they lose then all the BYU hate comes out. Believe me I know, I work with too many of them.

That's fine to be a ute fan and let out some frustration. My problem with dick is that he masquerades as a BYU fan and is constantly starting ridiculous threads "keeping up with the joneses", it's a good day (because church attendance will be up due to the utes losing and byu winning???), "little brother not so little anymore", "locker room issues".

He's your typical "I don't like BYU because they are holier than thou, and I'm so much better than that" fan.
