that's gotta be Arizona's worst home lost in ages as well.

They lost by 28 at home to #4 UNC in 2007, and on the road by 30 to Oregon in 2002. I only went back to 2001, but yeah, this is the worst woodshed the Wildcats have been taken to at home since at least 2001.

It was the worst loss in Mckale Center History. North Carolina was the previous worst loss. Those happened to be the last 2 Arizona home games I attended. They won't let me back in the building.

Just wanted to add that Arizona fans are bigoted trash, plain and simple.

Is that why 5,000 or so Arizona fans gave Jimmer a standing ovation when he left the game? Puh-lease.

Was it just me, or was the crowd yelling "shoot it!" every time Jimmer got the ball for a while there?

You are correct. The UofA fans wanted Jimmer to hit 50. It was unreal.

Yep, the only ones that stayed to watch the rest of the game. Too bad their fanbase is a lot larger than 5,000 people. I'm guessing you didn't attend the bowl game last year...

I'm currently doing a rotation in Tucson and I've been genuinely impressed with the people there. For the most part they have been real down to earth. Granted, most of the people I encounter are parents bringing their kids into our office, but I've had more than one talk BYU sports with while wearing their UofA gear.

Tucson is actually growing on me...

Some quick thoughts from the game.

If any of you watched the game, the play by play announcer Dave Sitton does many Wildcat games and is a cancer survivor. I was standing next to Coach Rose when Sitton introduced himself to him and congratulated him on his cancer recovery and told him that he was an inspiration and gave him his business card.

Jimmer was amazing. Duh.

The BYU big men need work.

Arizona as a whole needs ALOT more work.

The fans were really cool. Only a hundred or so BYU fans there. None of them said anything to me negative whatsoever. I think Jimmer signed autographs and took pictures with all the BYU fans there. They marveled how good BYU was tonight. So did I.

Sean Miller said he has followed Jimmer since he was a high school junior. He was amazed at his progression. The Arizona play by play guy said that was the best performance in McKale, EVER!!!

Tough night for my Wildcats. Great night for my Cougs.

The announcer mentioned Rose's cancer recovery two or three times. Makes a little more sense now. Both announcers were very complimentary of BYU and especially Jimmer. At one point Sitton asked what you can do to stop Jimmer. The response, there isn't much you can do short of cutting off one of his legs.

Cougdoc won the Arizona game prediction with 35 points. He called Arizona's total almost right on, guessing 71 where it ended up 69. Of course, he didn't see BYU scoring as many as they did (did any of us?).

And yes, I'm still working on a good solution for the Nebraska game, to be completed within 24 hours...

I've visited a few sites this morning and reminded myself why I basically keep to the BYU Cougar sites (cougar corner, cougarboard, etc). It's because any and everywhere else, any BYU discussion eventually deteriorates into a lot of ignorant comments about Mormons.

It happens with a lot of fanbases, and it was really bad at the bowl game last year. It didn't happen, however, with Oklahoma fans, Tulane fans, or Oregon St. fans (though some of them can't seem to get over Johnson's awesome non-helmet-to-helmet hit).
