What this doesn't account for is the no-name teams that all of the "premiere" conferences pad their schedules with I wonder how many of the 5 win teams had wins against a div Iaa team and sunbelt bottom feeders?

I'm sure there are some, but our bottom 3 also played schools like Weber State and S. Utah and lost to the likes of Idaho, NM St, besides that they scheduled UCLA, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Colorado? Maybe they should be scheduling for a few more win-able games for themselves and for the conference and not worry about the Money Games.

Idaho is going bowling this year, so it's probably not fair to cite that as a weak loss. So the only other weak game you cited is NMSU, who the Lobos lost to and we all know how terrible they were at the beginning of the year.

PAC-10 > Big XII
I think that the Big XII has classier fans and teams, more tradition, and schools that we would fit better with.

There are way more Mormons in California than Texas. BYU is simply a Western institution, even more-so perhaps than a Utahn institution.

When I was at BYU I wore a shirt that said University of California at Provo. I could have sworn there were more Californians there than Utahans :D

Seriously, if I had to guess (and I'm sure someone smart could look up the REAL statistics), I would guess that:

35% of BYU students are from California.

4% of BYU students are from Texas.

I really don't see how that makes PAC-10 fans any classier or less liberal, Mormon-hating douches.

You don't enjoy watching BYU beat the pants off liberal douches?

Haha! Touche! It's not the beating them that I mind, it's the having to be around them and put up with their crap, I get enough of that from :utard: already.

After watching Arizona get 34 total yards of offense in 3 quarters of play against Nebraska, I'd say that this assertion is simply not true.

Yeah, and Georgia killed Texas A&M. Doesn't mean BYU would be a better fit in the SEC...

Although there are a lot of Californians at BYU I would be startled if the percentage was that high. I would guess maybe around 10% are from California.

Really? I must be explaining myself terribly.

What I was referencing was that the PAC-10 is 10x better for BYU than the Big XII, which Arizona losing to Nebraska doesn't change in the slightest.

For BYU's future, joining the PAC-10 would >>> joining the Big XII.

Ok, I thought you were simply saying that the PAC-10 was better than the Big XII (which you might believe as well, but it's not supported by the head-to-head so far, maybe if Stanford beats Oklahoma...). Oh, and I still disagree with you, but it's a matter of opinion.

Hmmm...Texas vs Oregon?

Analysts can talk all day long, but it's what's on the field that counts. Team that was tied for #2 in the Big XII OBLITERATED the team that was tied for #2 in the PAC-10. Team that was tied for #4 in the Big XII is currently beating team that was tied for #2 in the PAC-10 (all while getting effin screwed by the officials).

BYU numbers:

32% Are from Utah

13% Are from California

5% Are from Texas

4% Are from the greatest State in the United States-- Arizona

The link below is fun. For example, the most typical BYU student is a 22 year old white single LDS male from Utah majoring in Exercise Science.

Other fun facts:

*There are 11 SENIORS that are 18 years old

*There are 439 nonLDS students on campus. The lowest number since 2001.

*There was a sudden influx of a nonBlack, nonWhite, nonHispanic, nonAsian Pacific Islander, non American Indian minority in 2004 knocking down the percentage of white people at the University from 88% to 82%.

That's a shock. Sure there are almost 3x Californians as there are Texans, but I didn't think it would be nearly that close.

Of course, Cali+AZ+OR+WA still outweighs TX+OK+MO+KS+IA+CO+NE, 25%+ to 8%+

Yeah, and if we get enough Somali students at the school, that means we should play in the African Conference...
