Speaking of turf, I'm still peeved about our lousy turf at LES this year. They better get that fixed, so we're not playing on mush next year too.

I resolved the FSU game this way: FSU played a perfect game, sometimes teams do that. The lousy, mushy turf hurt us more than it did them. There were many times we had the ball carrier in the backfield for a loss or no gain, but somehow we didn't bring them down. This year's team were very good tacklers, in my opinion, but that game we didn't tackle. You just have to throw the game out and move on.

Next year, we have all of our OL back but one. If Reynolds is healthy, I'll take my chances with him against Jerry Hughes (please go pro). And if our QBs have time to throw, history has shown they can deliver the ball, get first downs, and scores.

And then there are injuries. I heard patterson say his team had virtually no injuries this year, that is very unusual. So who knows, maybe next year it evens out and they get their share, and they are not so dominating. Dalton has never been injured either, but freaky things happen in this game.

Agreed. Bad footing hurts you more when you're an execution team as opposed to an athletic team. Athletes can more easily make up ground when out of position, whereas those who execute and are used to being in position can't do much when they slip out of it.

Hughes is a senior so yes he will be going pro.

Don't be so sure that Reynolds is coming back next year. He would probably be a 4th round pick this year. He hasn't been very durable so he might not want to risk injury next year.

Here are the other teams:

AF Army, Navy, Oklahoma

CSU Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, Miami Ohio

NM NM State, Oregon, Texas Tech, UTEP

SDSU Nicholl St, USU, NM State, Missouri

TCU Oregon St, SMU, Baylor

Utah Pittsburg, Notre Dame, San Jose St, Iowa St

UNLV Wisconsin, Nevada, Hawaii, Idaho, West Virginia

Wy Southern Utah, Texas, Toledo, Boise St

I know the conference want to play and beat quality BCS teams, but maybe someone should specify that it doesn't help for Wyoming, New Mexico, and UNLV to be the ones trying to do it. If we want the bottom of the conference to start looking better then they need to schedule non-conference games against winnable opponents. We gave up a bowl slot this year because of the bottom half of the conference not winning enough games this year.

On the same topic, Utah State should do the same thing and dummy down their schedule until they get to a bowl game.

I am happy with an 8-4 season next year. Anything less is a disappointment even with all of our losses. Anything better is icing on the cake for me.

Washington is going to be a very tough game. I think the fact that we are playing them first I think is good. I would rather play them first game than third or fourth.

Here's my fearless prediction for next year:

10-3, after a bowl victory.

Loss to EITHER UW or FSU, but not both

Loss to TCU

Loss to either AFA or Nev, but not both.

We will NOT lose to the Heathen's on the Hill. Have you seen what they are losing? Sure they have their QB coming back...but that D will be decimated, adn their WR's will all be gone too.
