I noticed that too.

Weed is barely even a drug. Heroine, Spice, those are drugs. Alcohol, that's a drug. Oxycodone, that's a drug. Weed is more of an anti-depressant.

The idea of someone with terminal cancer eating pot brownies makes me feel good, plain and simple. Cancer sucks.

Have to respectfully disagree. I've had detailed conversations with several Dr's that work with drug and alcohol addiction for a living. They told me that marijuana is one of the most addictive drugs out there. For a number of reasons. Marijuana is powerful - and now accepted just like beer. It's just a matter of time and it will be legal everywhere. It just is what it is.

I've got a good soda addiction myself. Just my experience as a firefighter, you don't go on 911 calls for marijuana use.

That does not mean it is does not have powerfully addictive qualities.

You've posted here over 4000 times. I think we both know a little something about addiction. ;)

The most powerful addictive drug is considered 1. Tobacco, 2. Heroin, 3. Cocaine, 4. Alcohol. Compared to these, marijuana is not as addictive. The point these Dr's were making to me is people discount marijuana and believe is is not addictive. They said that simply is not true. It's both physically and psychologically addictive. Combining the physical and psychological it can be a difficult habit to quit for some folks. Statistics show about 10% of marijuana users become addicted.

Mitt? way to pandering and eager to stick government where it has no place being.

Otherwise, he's a decent guy it seems. If were talking about someone who is going to protect America's freedoms and liberties, I don't get excited about Mitt.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion. I disagree with you.

hawkwing, it appears you believe mitt would have been grrrreat for the country...

please inform me how mitt would have protected our liberties and freedoms? and while I agree he's probably better than all candidates running (although I'd vote for Cruz over him) how do you expect him to win this election against the Democrats who likely will beat anyone running...

he represents the status quo to me. Someone who is willing to push through awful health care changes in his state doesn't make me want to jump up and support him.

My criteria in choosing who I vote for:

1) Who do I believe is a qualified, good, moral, righteous, god-fearing person. If you don't make the cut, you don't get considered. I don't weigh who I think is more holy than anyone else, it's just--is this someone who is going to involve God in decision-making?

2) Among those who make the cut on #1, who is most likely to support our constitutional form of government and cut back on executive agencies run amok, regulatory overreach, and veto Congressional overreaches? This is where I compare guys who got past #1.

3) If there is a tie or near-tie after criteria 1 and 2, then I start drilling down on qualifications and policies. If no one makes the cut, then I will go third-party or write-in.

This year, the only one on the ballot that makes the cut for me is Cruz. That's how I see it.

Sorry, Cruz is a liar too. Just look at what he has said about immigration reform. Now he may not be as bad as Hillary Clinton, but Cruz was either lying in 2013 or his is now. He seems unrepentant if he was lying in 2013, so where do you draw your line?

I think Trump is just as honest as Cruz. Probably more so. At least he doesn't hide behind Clintonian definitions.

Correct, he just doesn't care about the truth. He doesn't try to parse words. He just denies ever saying anything that goes against what he is currently saying.

Trump could be watching a video of a press conference he gave 5 minutes previous where he is saying the "sky is green, the sky is green. Believe me, when I say the sky is green, it's because it is and I've got the best people, the smartest people telling me the sky is green. When I'm done being president, everyone will know the sky is green and they'll love me for fixing it."

And then while watching it, he would deny ever saying the sky is green.

Neither Trump nor Cruz care about the truth. They only care about being elected.

Name one politician or person running for office that care more about the truth than being elected.

On a side note, I know he's not running, but please don't tell me that Mitt Romney is the answer to what we need. I can't stand him either. He's just as much a politician as Cruz.

It's funny that we want to point out imperfections in individuals and claim they're all the same. It's like on news stories about teens raping and murdering where people comment things like "Were you perfect as a kid? We all do stupid stuff." Yes, we do, but for most of us it might have been petty vandalism like tipping over a port-a-potty or hitting a mailbox. To say that Cruz is the same as Trump, Hillary, Bernie simply because he hasn't always been 100% honest is much the same.

This statement describes Hillary 500%. She literally lies on top of lies. The difference between Hillary and Cruz (IMHO), is Cruz does have respect for the rule of law, and the Constitution. Whereas Hillary regards the Constitution as a hindrance to her agenda - something to circumvent.

I intend to vote for Ted Cruz in my states Primary. However, if Donald Trump wins the GOP nomination (and there is a very real chance he can), I will gladly vote for Trump over Hillary. Hillary is evil.

Never in U.S. history has such a blatant scheme been cooked up to peddle influence as what Bill and Hillary have cooked up with their Clinton Foundation. Taking in over $500 million - most of it from foreign govts.

Why do you think Hillary deleted 30,000 emails off her private server? Why did Hillary set up a private server in the 1st place? Because it was critical she avoided scrutiny. Transparency was her enemy. A secure email system was provided free of charge and regulations required she use it. Hillary instead co-mingled her responsibilities as Sec. of State with the Clinton Foundation (and foreign govt's) for 4 years. It's a massive "pay to play" scheme. Totally corrupt and illegal. That's why she deleted 30,000 emails - it revealed her illegal and corrupt conflict of interest actions between the State Dept. responsibilities and the Clinton Foundation cash haul.

I guess you're not buying the 5 mistresses for Cruz then. I say that because you are obviously referring to Trump's three marriages and extramarital relations. Other than that, I'd put Trump and Cruz on the same level of integrity.

Maybe it's just that Cruz is a weirdo and rubs me wrong. I don't like his father or his wife or their affiliations. And the circumstantial evidence is certainly there for the mistresses.

So suppose Cruz is just as corrupt morally as Trump and is a hypocrite to boot. Who do you vote for then?

Very interesting question. I think it's a good one. Let me take a "whack" at it.

If Trump and Cruz were morally and ethically on equal footing - I would pick Ted Cruz.

Why? Because Ted Cruz is a Constitutional scholar. He has a deep regard for the Constitution and the rule of law. Donald Trump has a deep regard for himself. On top of that, I would bet $100,000 Trump has never read, let alone studied the Constitution, and the Founders true intentions.

That said, I will vote for Cruz in the CA primary. If Trump wins the GOP nomination (which is very possible) - I will enthusiastically vote for Trump over Hillary Clinton. Hillary is the epitome of deception, corruption, lies, and is beholden to foreign interests. Hillary represents all that is wrong in Washington.
