Trump must be defeated as well.

Anything less than good, honest, and wise cometh of evil. Don't fall for the "lesser is better" con-line we've been fed for decades. The lesser of the evils is still evil. Reject it.

Agreed, defeating Donald Trump was a priority - in the primary process. That opportunity has passed. 3rd party candidates will get plus or minus 5% of the vote. That 5% will be critical in defeating Hillary. The 3rd party candidates have no chance. If you want to continue Obama's policies, vote for Hillary or a 3rd party candidate.

Don't buy into the Dimocrat propaganda machine against Trump.

National Review on Donald Trump, no, he isn't better than Hillary.

But virtually everything we do know about Trump is negative. He lies. He traffics in far-left conspiracy theories. He incites violence. He surrounds himself with thugs, cronies, and fools. He’s ignorant of the most basic realities of national security, foreign policy, and global economics. He has a decades-long record of corruption and a decades-long record of liberalism. In arguing that he’s better than Clinton, his supporters now ask us to trust his current “conservative” incarnation and disregard that record. We don’t really know how he’ll handle immigration, trade, ISIS, abortion, or judges. But trust him. He’ll do better. Yes, Trump has praised single-payer health care during this election, but trust him. He’ll do better than Obamacare. Yes, Trump has advocated touchback amnesty and increased legal immigration, but trust him. He’ll protect American workers. Yes, Trump has supported abortion-on-demand and gun control, but trust him. He’s changed. Yes, Trump has written large checks to leftist politicians, but trust him. He’ll fight them as president. Yes, his campaign team lives in the gutter, but trust him. He’ll appoint good people. Hillary Clinton is the most beatable likely Democratic nominee since John Kerry, and the GOP is poised to nominate the one man least likely to beat her, and the one man who would be just as bad in the White House. I don’t vote for despicable people. I don’t vote for leftists. And I will never, ever, vote for Donald Trump. He’s no better than she is.

My most sincere advice to everyone who I know, do not under any circumstances vote for Donald Trump, he will lose anyway, but there is no fate worse than him as leader of the United States.

No, it's hardly that simple. This time, 3rd party candidates probably help Trump more than Hillary. Most of those 3rd party votes, including mine, probably otherwise go to Hillary.

Read the article Hawk posted. It makes some very valid points.

I can't control what millions of other people do with their votes. I can, however, control what happens with my one vote, and I won't be using my agency to support a potential President Trump or President Clinton II. I'll use it to support a good, honest, wise person when I find one in the running, or write one in.

If Hillary wins, it's because of who voted for her, not who voted elsewhere.

Donald Trump on Monday alleged that Ted Cruz's dad was at and implicitly part of the John F. Kennedy assassination, apparently relying upon the National Inquirer as his source. I wish this was a one time, goofy mistake. But he seems to have a history of this. For example, relying upon kooky science, he tweeted several years ago that vaccines are behind autism. I guess next week we can expect a tweet expressing concerns that aliens possess the bodies of world leaders and entertainers, relying upon the Men in Black movies.

What you're leaving out is that Trump said that the National Inquirer is a major national publication.

You're also forgetting that in one of the debates Trump again stated autism is caused by vaccinations.

Maybe - maybe not.

Look at the 1992 presidential election results.

Bill Clinton - 43%

George H.W. Bush - 37.4%

Ross Perot - 18.9%

If George H.W. Bush had been elected, a whole series of events would have been different. It's very possible 9/11 would have never happened. Because a wiser, ex-CIA director George Bush would most likely have taken more aggressive action against Osama bin Laden. Speculation of course. But, it's well documented Bill Clinton had bin Laden in his sights and called off the kill mission.

No question, all those well meaning principled Ross Perot votes kept the better man out of office.

I understand your point. The problem is that Trump is no George H.W. Bush. In many respects he could be worse than Clinton. Do we think that he will pick conservative justices for the Supreme Court? Do we think that the lavish Trump will reign in spending? Do we think he will actually protect second amendment rights, when he is on record as having supported what President Obama said after the Newtown shootings about guns? He is lying to the Republicans. He is the biggest Trojan horse the party has ever seen.

There is an alternative. Deny both of them the electoral votes necessary, and let the House of Representatives choose the President. If that happens, then each state gets one vote, and they can vote for any of the top three electoral vote winners. Utah could very well determine the presidency. By overwhelming majority, they voted against Trump and Clinton. If they had a coordinated write-in campaign, or voted for a third party en masse, they could have a third party candidate with electoral votes that the HR may just want to choose over Trump. Of course, for that to happen, Trump and Clinton would have to have an almost even split of electoral votes (ranging from 263 to 269 each or even less if more than one state did the same thing), which is possible given how badly both candidates are detested. Utah may not be the only state thinking upon those lines.

The question is, who should that candidate be? I have watched the Libertarian debates, and I am not sure any of the top three is Presidential enough. Gary Johnson likes to smoke pot...as he admitted. I was most hopeful about the young guy, Austin Petersen, but he doesn't sound very practical...mostly likes to say things that make great bumper stickers. McAfee doesn't sound like he knows what he is doing. Is there a Conservative Republican that the HR would rally behind if he were a possibility? To me, former Governors seem to be the best presidents, and former legislators seem to be the worst.

What current or former Governor out there would the House of Representatives rally around? Can't be mine from Alabama. He is a mess. But, I would certainly be willing to vote for someone else's Governor if he or she were a true conservative and had a proven record of doing good by the state.

I know it is a long shot, but it is possible. We only have to be stuck with Clinton or Trump if we the people allow it to happen.

Yes, it really is that simple. It boils down to this - there are 2 political parties that have a legitimate chance to win the White House and have all the power and influence associated with the president's bully pulpit. One party is a deceitful socialist party that does not give a crap about the Constitution, rule of law, or the sovereign borders of this nation. The other polotical party - the GOP - at least strices to uphold the Constitution and the founding principles set forth by out Founding Fathers.

All the other political parties are interesting. I tend to lean strongly Libertarian - but will always vote for the GOP candidate because they can actually win. As I have posted before, the most critical act the new president will perform is who gets nominated and seated on the Supreme Court. For you to seriously consider voting for a lying leftist socialist such as Hillary - knowing she will nominate leftist judges that will destroy the Constitution - it is mind boggling.

Trump, from his own mouth and actions has shown that he:

  • Will not nominate conservative justices

    Will create a bigger government

    Will restrict gun rights

    Will expand Obamacare

Will raise federal minimum wage rates

Will support and expand the role of Planned Parenthood and abortion services

Will use government agencies like the IRS, EPA, FDA, and others to target and attack political enemies, including the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and conservative groups

    Will not respect the constitution

Will not surround himself with intelligent people because he already "understands the situation better than anyone else"

Will alienate allies and weaken the US internationally

Will break international laws, spread and expand military conflicts

Will limit free trade and weaken the economy

    Will institute amnesty

Will threaten, bully, even potentially murder rivals

Will disrespect, shame, and bully women

This is undeniable, only those who are lying to themselves believe otherwise.

Not true. He said he will use a list of 10 Conservative judges from the Heritage Foundation to nominate for the SCOTUS.

Probably true - George Bush did. As long as it's the military and the Border Patrol, FRI, CIA, and DEA expanding, I'm fine with that.

From Trump's website:

HEALTHCARE REFORM TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

Since March of 2010, the American people have had to suffer under the incredible economic burden of the Affordable Care Act—Obamacare. This legislation, passed by totally partisan votes in the House and Senate and signed into law by the most divisive and partisan President in American history, has tragically but predictably resulted in runaway costs, websites that don’t work, greater rationing of care, higher premiums, less competition and fewer choices. Obamacare has raised the economic uncertainty of every single person residing in this country. As it appears Obamacare is certain to collapse of its own weight, the damage done by the Democrats and President Obama, and abetted by the Supreme Court, will be difficult to repair unless the next President and a Republican congress lead the effort to bring much-needed free market reforms to the healthcare industry.

But none of these positive reforms can be accomplished without Obamacare repeal. On day one of the Trump Administration, we will ask Congress to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare.

“As far as Planned Parenthood is concerned, I'm pro-life,” Trump asserted on the debate stage at the University of Houston.

Trump also wrote: “Public funding of abortion providers is an insult to people of conscience at the least and an affront to good governance at best.”

“I'm pro-life, but with the caveats. It's: Life of the mother (very important), incest and rape,” Trump said.

“Look, Planned Parenthood has to stop with the abortions,” he told host Chuck Todd on NBC's “Meet the Press.”

Actually time to stop listening to the establishment and DC insiders. Trump is a populist with no political ideology. He is not further left than Hillary. That is a complete lie generated by the establishment trying to keep their power and influence. Again I am a Cruz advocate but I WILL vote for trump because we cannot have Hillary appoint the next 3 or 4 sup ct justices. Also, the thing to remember is Trump in not a politico. He is an executive. Funny how so many advocate against electing an executive to an executive position. So you have to take what he says with a grain of salt. Instead look at what who he is hiring and what the policies are that they are stating will be his administrations policies.

So let's see far left he really is. Here are the policies he has released to this point.

Immigration: He tabbed Jeff Sessions to create the policies he will implement in his administration. He is one of the best conservatives to author the plan a true top shelf immigration conservative. The plan they presented is to build the wall and deport illegals. Cancel all J1 visas for low skill immigrants. Trump's policy will be to issue these visas and establish a program to have those jobs given to low skill Americans (read jobs for the poor). Hillary wants amnesty, no wall, continues J1 visas. I guess that puts Trump right of her. And right of Romney and Rubio and Kasich and most of the other 17 candidates. Probably only Cruz would have done the same thing.

Taxes: Trump has put forth his tax plan. Reduce the bus.tax rate to 15% from 40%. This is as conservative as it gets. This will bring jobs back in. On top of that he has stated he will have a one time 10% rate on funds (est 2.5 trillion) being held overseas that are brought back in. These two steps alone will jump start the economy more than any president has since Reagan. When he stated he will force Caterpillar to stay in the US, this is how he intends to do it. Hillary, follow in the footsteps of Obama. No further explanation needed. Trump way "right" again.

2nd amendment:

Trump's policy is enforcement of current laws and not new ones. He also has stated his policy is to establish a federal law that requires all states to accept other state's CC licenses. His policy is also improve mental health care and not banning of guns. Hillary wants all guns gone. Trump on the "right".

Healthcare:

Trump's policy is to repeal Obamacare. Replace it with a capitalist system. Hillary is do more of Obamacare and get it to single payer (government health care).

Brought on John Mashburn to head his policy team. John is ultra pro-life. So for those worried about abortion and Planned Parenthood, PP is quaking in their boots.

Also, research the things Ann Coulter has been saying. Liberals and establishment absolutely hate her. She is very keyed in to what we the people really think and feel and has more common sense than all of them combined. She is also very intelligent and understands what it really means to be a conservative.

Lastly, look up what Betsy McCoy has published regarding Trump's policies. She is the one that almost single handed stopped Hillary-Care. I included some of what she found above.

So far every resource Trump has sought out and every policy they have release has been entirely "very conservative". People keep going back to what he said and did as a business man in NY. What would you have done if your business involved constructing buildings in Democrat strongholds? Would you have said what you truly believed or what you knew the politicians wanted to hear? Trump will use his common sense to govern and common sense is the foundation of conservatism. He may not be a conservative but he sure is acting like one.

So in the end Trump is an enigma. He has said a lot of things that make me concerned (hence my support for Cruz) but his actions regarding what his administration's policies will be have all been as conservative as they can be. So I'm taking the old saying "Don't listen to what they are saying but look at what they are doing". In other words, "by their fruits ye shall know them".

So anyways, you get the point. Don't vote, which is a vote for Hillary, Vote 3rd party, which is a vote for Hillary unless Bernie runs 3rd party too, or vote Trump and hope he implements the policies he has been putting out there.

One last thought, if you are waiting for the "perfect" candidate, you might as well give up on ever voting, because I don't ever expect to run for president. I wouldn't want to put my family's safety as such a risk although I would consider it for the sake of this great country.

Wow. My advice is never watch MSNBC, CNN, ABC news, NBC news, CBS news, weather channel, and so on. When watching FoxNews be wary and research what they claim and if it comes from the established republicans then really question their motives.

I go back to Betsy McCoy, look up what she has said. She is a busybody that gets into the weeds of everything. She won't look at the cover of a book and give her thoughts on it. She will read it thoroughly and validate her questions before saying anything. Again, she was the one that actually read HillaryCare and let the world know what was really in it and got it stopped before it was implemented. Too bad we had to pass Obamacare before they let people read it.
