AND then BYU loses to the u. Pitiful.

In the 13th inning. Not exactly an ass-kicking. It did snap a 9-game winning streak though.

Right you are.

And BYU currently in the 4th inning against Portland leading 17 to 14.

We won 23-19, a football score

Good weekend for BYU. With LMU losing to Gonzaga yesterday BYU clinches at the very least a piece of the WCC regular season championship. They play 3 games against Gonzaga this week and only need to win one of them to take the championship outright. The way they're playing you'd have to make them the favorites to win the tournament.

Lost first game won 2 today. Will play GU tomorrow for the championship.

P.S. Going into that 3-game series against Gonzaga to end the regular season, BYU was 3 games ahead of them in conference play. BYU went 0-3. Weak mentally when it mattered most, again, in another sport in Provo.

Now they need to beat Gonzaga twice in a row in the tournament. I'm not feeling good about our odds.

BYU leads Gonzaga 4-0 early in Game 1.

4-2 now in the top of the 2nd

5-2 in the bottom of the 3rd. Why are we the home team?

Correction 8-2 with no outs. BYU still batting. I just checked our rpi. We are 65. Win this game and we have a shot at an invite if we don't win the 2nd game.

9-2 top of 6th

13-3 in the bottom of the 7th.

16-3 in the 9th inning.

And we win. How many teams will get invited to the tourney? I think SD, GU and BYU.

Correction. perhaps GU and SD will be invited, but BYU EARNED their spot in regionals.

rpi's today http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/baseball/d1/rpi

SD 53

GU 50

BYU 59

LMU 65

SM 73

Too bad the rest of the league was so bad. How did Pepperdine drop so much?

What a way to finish! The Cougars more than atoned for last weekend's performance. They were clicking on all cylinders.

Selection show is on now on ESPN2. We are not playing at Oregon state the 1 seed. That is good. A bracket thinks we will go to Texas Tech.

We are in the Stanford regional playing CS Fullerton to start as the 3 seed. Stanford is an 8 seed. If we can win it LBSU 14 seed in the other bracket.

We were the only WCC team invited.
