Just painful to listen to on the radio. I get why he has his own show- dynamic personality. But he should never let anyone call in. They make well reasoned points and he counters by out-LOUDing them until they hang up. Just no substance to this guy at all. Not a high IQ fellow.

Wow this guy sucks. I used to listen to czaban everday on the drive In to school. The only other chose was the m&ms. But now the radio station was bought out and plays christian Spanish music all day. Agh it drives me nuts. I can't handle smith so I listen to NPR oye

The problem with ESPN Radio is that there is six minutes of talk followed by about 15 minutes of commercials.

Stephen A. Smith, like Oprah and our President are racist. This week, I think it was Tuesday, he was discussing Mark McGuire's admission that he used steroids. A black caller called in and was ignorant enough to say that Mark McGuire was being accepted for his apology just because he was white. His hypothetical supporting idea was that if Barry Bonds were to apologize, he would never be forgiven by "Baseball" and why? The caller said it was because baseball is racist and a white man's game!



Stephen A. Smith agreed with him 100% and went to commercial. Even on ESPN TV he is a racist anti-white bigot and I will no longer patronize him.



The funny thing about the caller is he was wrong on a hundred different accounts. Baseball is far from a white man's game these days. It is a dominican republic, mexican, black, japenese game. I don't recall anyone forgiving McGuire except the man who hired him as a hitting coach. In addition, Barry Bonds has not made any attempt at an apology and never will. People don't disdain Barry for being black they hate him because he is a jerk.

Stephen A. is about Stephen A. He tacitly supports all black athletes because of their skin color. If they do something wrong he will castigate them. But only because it makes him look bad for supporting them previously. Michael Vick is the perfect example. Stephen A. supported him up until he plead guilty and went to jail. Stephen A. was upset not because he felt Vick was wrong and should be punished but because Vick made Stephen A. look bad for defending a criminal.



But yes, people don't like Barry because he is a jerk. Just like people don't like A-Rod or Clemens because they're arrogant. People do like guys like Jeter and Lebron because they're nice guys - or at least give that impression.

Steven A. Smith - I've listened to him for years when I run across him flipping channels.

I've never been impressed with him.



He's thinks loud, opinionated & arrogant opinion= correct postions. Wrongo bongo!!! He's just loud & arrogant. Oh yeah - annoying too.

I can't stand this guy. The worst part is his forced Ebonics--I remember the first time he was on ESPN and you could just tell this guy was trying to portray himself as the NBA-tough black guy correspondent, LOL. It's pathetic and actually makes him sound ignorant. By the way, I don't understand how anyone can sit through talk radio even in commutes or whatever. They talk about inane crap for a couple minutes then you have commercials for 20 (as someone else already noted).
