Great win. Great, great win!

The offense was VERY efficient; the passing was crisp; there were very few bad shots (I think the one bad shot I remember was Yoeli's first three, which he proceeded to make :)) I don't know if you noticed, but Worthington's first ten minutes of D on Landale was OUTSTANDING. It won't show up in the box score, but it set the tone. Cannon made two amazing hustle plays that led to baskets and changed momentum. Haws was a PLAYMAKER He ended up with 7 assists and 11 points. And Nixon off the bench--10 points and six rebounds. So huge. While Yoeli had a career night points wise, that was a team win through and through

I didn't see the game, I am going to watch the replay on watch espn. My guess is that my prediction about physicality was true though.

See what you think. SMC defense was about as stout as butter in the frying pan.

A great win with some great coaching and...gasp...strategy!! 8)

I was glad to see Landale in foul trouble although in fairness some of those fouls were soft/cheap, but after what he got away with the previous two games I'll call it fair game!!

My prediction was that the only way BYU would beat SMC is if BYU was the more physical team.

BYU went from playing it's way to a bubble NIT team to 1 win away from the NCAA tournament.

Just watched the replay. While I wasn't bowled over by BYU's physical defense, they played aggressively on both sides of the ball. They carved up SMC's defense which is something I didn't see them do in the last meeting. BYU looked determined last night. I hope they bring this same intensity to the Gonzaga game because if they do, they have a chance. If they wore themselves out beating SMC, we are going to get blown out.

I just watched the game. One of the best performances ever that I've seen us play against a solid top 20 program. Wow is all I can say.

Yep, I've seen it happen that a team rides that wave to exceed expectations in tournaments and I've also seen where they used up all they had and get "spilled" the next night.

Well, I'd rather be in this position than not and I'm going to at least ride the euphoria train up until 7 p.m. MST.

After last night, I have legit hope that we can win this tourney. That was a very good BYU basketball team last night. Just hoping they can keep it going.

It was enjoyable to watch. It was seeing what they really could be if they all played to their potential all at the same time. The turnovers this season from errant passes have driven me crazy and there was so little of that last night. Yoeli had one of those nights you don't have every night, so that's hard to project the same to happen 2 nights in a row, but really there is talent there that can pull this off.
