You mean, like lee dominating the league all season, then the player at UNLV stepping up for two or three good games at the end of the season, and getting co-player of the year with Lee?

Yep. Or Andy Dalton taking both offensive player of the year AND 1st team all-conf QB. He should have gotten only one, not both, with the other going to Max Hall. Hall was the better QB who had better QB stats, who happened to play on the second best team. For the league's all-time winningest QB, all-team leader in attempts, completions, yards and touchdowns to win neither was a travesty.
