BYU beats SDSU 71-69

Just got quick props on espn. Hopefully they'll show some highlights.





BYU is going to go win at the pit in similar fashion. Thanks to the aztec blocks, and fan noise, BYU won't be stunned by the Pit, and we'll handle utah with a 20 point cushion at halftime.

BYU wins this game if they win the free throws. Since Jimmer hit 2, that's pretty much the game :)

Haws now has 8 points on 2 3s. SDSU Just threw the ball out of bounds for the 3rd time in less than 10 minutes

BYU up 35 34, we're not playing with a lot of balls. Just had our 5th shot blocked!!! C'mon BYU step it up, play like men.



On a lighter note, this is the earliest game they've ever sold out in SDSU history.

This is indeed a good test for the Cougars. SDSU players are getting their hands on a lot of Cougar shots. We've missed a few easy ones.

I hope they enjoy playing in an arena named after a casino...about as nasty as their mattresses.

Interesting, as soon as Abuou comes in BYU takes a 10 point lead. He's brought some physical speed in right nice.

BYU's 'big men' are not meeting expectations. The only clear route to a victory is Emery, Haws, or Jimmer. Tav should have retired before the season started.

Any word on how Fredette is feeling for the game? He did look winded towards the end of the half.

Isn't it amazing that it isn't a lack of sportsmanship to mock BYU by the mtn routinely showing the SDSU students dressed like missionaries?

When I first saw those losers I was a bit annoyed, however, I later decided any exposure is good exposure right ? If BYU wins a bunch of guys dressed as missionaries will be walking around the stadium afterwards. Other SDSU fans will see them and think, "those guys just beat us".

Anyone notice how the game started out looking like it was on a computer broadcast? Somewhere after the game started, all of a sudden it started looking like a regular broadcast and then it would slip back here an there through the first half. Using their own term, "Only on the mtn".

BYU gotta get an inside game going. Good things have happened for Davies and Miles when the ball as got to them.

I like Davies at Post, he does so much more than Miles IMHO.



This is turning into a great game regardless. Good thing we're a 'second-half' team. I'm still concerned at how many blocks and rebounds SDSU is getting. They just look bigger than we do.

30-10 SDSU points in the paint. Wow.
