Let's Rock the Marriott Tonight!

Well, I didn't know what else to say. Going to my first game of the season and I'd love to see it rockin.



So far in the 18 years I've lived here in Utah, I'd have to say the loudest game I ever attended was against 6th ranked Wake Forest in 2009. I was in upper bowl and it was deafening. We lost 94-87, but it was a great game with Lee Cummard and Jimmer Fredette. We had five players in double figures and one of those off the bench (Fredette 23; Tavanari 18; Cummard 17; J Emery 13; and Charle Abouo for 10 points off the bench). So exciting.



I'm anxious tonight seeing how San Francisco manhandled us in SF. They're a good team.

I'll be there.



This is a must win...if we want to be second place in the This is Gonzaga's Conference and We're Just Living In It. Even if we beat both SF and Gonzaga we probably still aren't a shoe-in for the NCAA tournament. It's pretty much down to winning the conf tournament. So I guess 2nd place helps us get more byes in the conf tournament, but unless we beat Gonzaga in the conf tournament, this may be another one and done NIT season.

I'm going with my dad and two boys.

I think there's 0% chance of an at-large bid, even winning out aside from the conference tourney finals.

Greg Wrubell Tweeted yesterday:



"Since Dave Rose has been BYU's head coach, BYU has never missed the NCAA tournament when ranked in the KenPom top 50, and has never made the tourney when ranked outside the top 50. BYU is currently 73rd in KenPom."



So I believe strongly that our only ability to get to the NCAA's at this point is to win our tournament. Otherwise we need to finish strong to make it to the NIT. Last year we were the last team in to the NIT and we're a few notches lower at the moment.

Dang but I think I saw their worst seven minutes of the season....

We had a 12 point lead and gave it up. Such lazy passing. So frustrating.
