We've been here before, but just watch that video. As long as there will be :utard: athletics, Max Hall's words will apply.

I don't like Utah," Hall said. "In fact, I hate them. I hate everything about them. I hate their program, I hate their fans, I hate everything.... I think the whole university, their fans and their organization, is classless.

'Monson replied, "Coach, give me a break — show some class." '

Good to know that Monson agrees with Hall about utah class.

I don't know...I think I hate Monson about as much as much as I dislike Utah...So aside from the "UofU is classless" comments does anyone have any insight into the history between Monson and Boylen...Boylen seemed like he was going to be annoyed at Monson no matter what almost like there was bad blood from past interactions.

I guess the guy who asked that first question of the video, (Something along the lines of, "How did it feel when you guys came out and missed the first 12 shots of the half?") was actually something along the lines of a student journalist for one of the Universities. Yes it was somewhat of a dumb question but I dont' think that's the way you go about answering it.

Gordon Monson said during his program yesterday that when Boylen responded that way to that kid, and then got mad when Gordon asked those questions, that he felt as if Boylen was being classless. He also stated that he doesn't come around the U very often because he's not a beat writer for any team, he's a journalist and writes sports stories that might actually be interesting, and he basically went on to say that a BYU vs. Utah game is something of interest to people, and that Utah basketball hasn't really done much that people really care too much about. Which I guess is pretty true, and explains his lack of being there.

While I've never been a fan of Monson, I do believe that there is nothing wrong with the questions he was asking, and kind of felt like not he but Utah as a fanbase deserve answers to those kind of questions. I mean we've been in the position where we've had bad seasons, and I don't think it's a stretch to say that I've wanted answers for how certain parts of our program we're being handled, and I would assume that Utah fans would feel the say. Especially after Boylen always says how the fans need to stand behind this program and come to the games, and that they're getting "really close" to where they want to be and they let their rival come on their home floor and just blow them out. You're damn right I would want answers as a fan of the program!

Kind of related, but how bad are the Utes? I mean seriously, is there any player on the Utes who would start for BYU? Is there any player you would want on BYU? I don't think anyone would start on BYU and I don't think any Utah starter would even represent an upgrade over our backups.

Utah has some fans that are decent people. Monson represents a strand of sports journalism that I find utterly abhorrent. Utah Utes > Gordon Monson, easy.

If I was a Ute fan, Utah coach, Utah player, whatever, I'd still strongly dislike Monson's journalism. I might even dislike ir more if I were a Ute fan. He's shrill, writes to cajole a response and isn't half as clever/funny as he tries to be. Boylen acted without class here, but if he harbors a strong resentment for Monson, he's got my empathy.

The only respectable thing they've done is beat UNLV twice. I really think they must have bought those games.

I saw a headline this week that said something like "When Henderson is on, Utes usually win." Without reading the article, I decided that this must not say much about Henderson if the Yewts are 14-15, he is "on" in less than 50% of the games. With that in mind, I took a look at his stats. He is 63 for 186 on three point shots, for a 33.9% rate, in comparison, JT's worst 3P% was his freshmen year and he was at 37.2%. This year, Henderson has been a better three point shooter than: Brandon Davies (0 for 1), Brock Zylstra (0 for 2), Noah Hartsock (1 for 4), and Charles Abouo (7 for 22, 31.8%). I'm glad our success doesn't depend on Henderson.

As for if there are any yewts that I would want on the team, nope, but if I could take one trait of one player, I wouldn't mind having someone that blocked shots like Foster (better than 1 block for every six minutes he plays).

Henderson is an okay 3pt shooter at best and Foster is a very good shot blocker who has absolutely no offense, in any way, shape or form. Brown is athletic and that really is about it. There isn't any player on Utah's team that would start. Not even close. I would take Foster to block shots, but I guess he might take Anderson's place. But even that isn't much of an improvement.

Monson is a tool but so is Boylen. Boylen threw his players under the bus after the game. Pathetic and disgusting. Rose and Bronco would never do that. Boylen isn't that great of a coach, and in my humble opinion is the best thing to ever happen to puke basketball.

Honestly, when I listen to him he reminds me of Crowton as all he ever does is talk about how young and inexperienced his players are. He never takes responsibilty for the team and its problems.

I really struggle to see where/how he would get off the bench for BYU. He currently is shooting .339 from behind the arc. That'd be good for eighth on BYU. He doesn't move offensively. He doesn't contribute on defense. He's a poor spot-up shooter. BYU doesn't need players who can't make shots or move on offense on defense.

We've sort of missed Hafa's elbows. Henderson could take that role.

Do you have any evidence to back up this assertion? ;) TIC
