A caller with a Jamaican accent made a call to the police department trying to reach men's basketball coach Dave Rose. He wanted to inform Rose he had won a contest, and for Rose to receive his prize, he simply had to send them a cashier's check. Being familiar with the scam, the police officer told him to stop calling. The caller continued to call. By coincidence, Rose was in the office during one of the calls and told the secretary to give the caller his number. The coach then took care of the problem by blowing a loud whistle into the mouthpiece. The caller has not called back since.

I suspect:

Ute 'fans'

Boylen

Ute 'player'

MWC/MTN Network

Here are my reasons: Fans have become constant victims of dumb traps. We had a guy foul up their smack sheets for their F section (the honor roll for them). Another guy made money off of yewtfans site (awful site). They've made it easy to pull great pranks, as well as their classless, winless programs. This scam attempt is lazy and not well done-hence my suspicion of ute fans.

Boylen is such a tool developing a Jamaican accent has probably been the most successful accomplishment of his career.

Ute players hate winning teams winning programs and men with class. Henderson is a guy who would call police to get to Rose since he's got their number memorized for some reason.

Also anyone that works for the MWC or the MTN network: I wouldn't put it past those employees.

Only problem with your theory is that the MTN Network employees don't have the technologic know how to handle something as complicated as a telephone (have you ever seen a clear picture on the MTN? The defense rests)

Ya they sent me an IM telling me that their phones can only make local calls. Hence the bias towards lesser teams. They promised that they will improve cameras, since they've only been using webcams for games they've been able to save up for a pocket camera that even has an LCD screen!

I was amazed during the Emery/Henderson incident, not at the incident itself, but at the poor quality picture from the MTN - I didn't realize how poor it was until a fan put his video of the incident, presumably from a handheld personal recorder, online here. WOW! what a clear picture it seemed to be. I guess I have gotten too used to the MTN blur.

Its a good thing the MTN has enough money to pay for commentators to actually be in person for the games. Can you imagine if they had to call if off of a TV feed in Denver?

"And they white fuzzy blob passes it to a smaller fuzzy object. The smaller white object shoots...or no...he passes it inside to a big fuzz who shoots...we think...and...according to ESPN Gamecast...he scores!!"
