Florida GAME NOTES....

Loyd playing well, they probably didn't gameplan for him like they did for Jimmer. Miles playing great D inside on their bigs.

miles has played great defense in my opinion.

Looking good at the moment. 14-2 run. Keep it going!

Cougs are just fine. They'll win this.

Could've been a much better first half. But at least we have the lead 35-33. I'm surprised that Jimmer can't get a call.

Come out strong in the second half and it'll be tough for Florida down the strech to end up winning this. A strong UF start and we're in for a toss-up....

BYU needs to either defend the paint in man, or the perimeter in zone D in the 2nd half. We haven't done either yet. Good thing Florida is terrible, and just turns the ball over stupidly again and again.

Noah and Miles made some stupid mistakes late in the half

My thoughts:



1. We should be killing these guys, and I think we will in the 2nd half. We just spent a bit playing down at their level for a while.

2. Stupid TOs are really what's killing us the most - especially because they keep coming on chances that we had to extend the lead and it's killing our momentum.

3. Defense is really stepping it up now.

4. Never thought I'd say this - but PLAY MILES. He has been great defensively and I think Rose is recognizing it. I think Miles has actually been the key to our run in addition to Loyd.

5. Speaking of Loyd - I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Loyd!

6. Everyone is forcing some shots that we don't need to take.

7. I expect Emery to step it up next half. I don't know if it will be D or O, or both, but he will.

True that, let's hope Florida doesn't get it together....

Really bone-headed turnovers at the end of the half cost BYU a double digit lead. The Cougars better not play this way against Kansas State or it'll be lights out

They've shot twice as many free throws and Jimmer hasn't been to the line despite driving hard to the basket many times.
