how hard is it to get in their shooters face, instead of giving them a 5 foot cushion to have target practice?
This has been a problem all year.

That's what rebounding will do to you.
And Jimmer does look a bit winded.
He's having a real hard time against Pullen.
They could alleviate a lot of that by having Loyd bring up the ball and working off Jimmer at the 2.
Yeah, this.
Two major adjustments that NEED to be made at halftime:
1) Loyd starts taking down the ball
2) JT doesn't set foot on the court again
3) TAKE IT TO THE HOOP! For the most part, we are drawing the fouls. But on the perimeter, we can't get a call to save our lives.

You have to get around your guy in order to take it to them. Announcers are right. Jimmer can't get around Cullen? Pullen? Whatever his name is.
Anderson is in. Wow. Seriously. Wow.

I say start the 2nd half off playing MAN with a line-up of Loyd, Emery, Abouo, Miles, Jimmer. See them score then.

It's not like K state is shooting lights out either percentage-wise.
Am I seeing this right? K State has 25 rebounds (7 offensive) to our 16 (3 offensive)?
They have so many more shots than we do and all we can do is foul underneath the basket.

Actually I like the whole putting anderson in for a few minutes. Give them something else to talk about at halftime - like how to throw it to the middle as soon as possible while he's in.
we'll likely see more of this later on in the second.
BYU 6-22 to end the half.
Jimmer has more TO's than FGs.
If you're Rose, what do you tell Jimmer to do? Pass it to Lloyd?

Knowing that this was a key to the game, it's almost unbelievable that BYU has done this poorly.
We've all heard that rebounding comes down to heart and effort. Hopefully BYU can pick it up in the second half.

I think it's pretty obvious that we need to stop that stupid double team in the 2nd half. 29 of their points are from the guards NOT their big guys. We have to adjust to this!!

To be honest guys, Jimmer just isn't doing it this game.
The guys who are currently playing the best need to be the guys who come out in the second half:
Loyd
Emery
Haws
Abouo
Andersen
rotate the big guys out for Miles, Davies, and Hartsock to keep guys out of foul trouble.
Right now the players getting it done best are Emery and Haws. Both have been quick and intelligent on defense, and both have been doing good things with their offensive efforts. Of course, Emery needs to stop turning the ball over NOW, or else I'd rather see Jimmer/Loyd.

I'd like to know how many of those guard points are 2nd chance points after a miss by a big. The double is working awesome, BYU just can't get the rebound.

KSU is missing more than I had hoped them to. Just too many second and third opportunities.
I don't care how much BYU scores in the second half. If our guys don't start boxing out and rebounding immediately, there is just absolutely no way we win.
