I agree sno. The QB does not always have to be the leader of the offense. It helps when that player has those leadership skills, but as long as the unit has it, that is what matters most. I expect that all 3 of those guys fighting it out have some of those skills though. They all played the position for years. But at the end of the day. it is about the team competing and gelling as a unit.

As for leadership, I think it would be harder for a 25 year old lineman with 2.5 kids might find it harder to follow a leader who's 7 years younger than them. We've been spoiled by a small string of RM's at the helm.

Heaps 3 of 8 wan't even a bad day since it included 2 dropped passes by receivers. Happens.

Said it before, will say it again, the surprise at this point is that Nelson does not have the edge. He has an extra year running this offense and practicing with these guys over Heaps, yet Heaps is now equal with him after 2 weeks of spring ball. Not surprised Lark is a bit behind because of his mission rust. He may catch up over the summer yet, but doubt it.

And Munns is even up against it more. I think Bronco might be keeping the job open in fairness to Jason Munns, to give him a shot at it this summer/Fall. I know Bronco likes him, so that could be a consideration.
