Get the commander-in-Chief Trophy within the conference, add 4 teams with small local markets but national draw in BYU and the service academys, plus Powerhouses TCU and BSU with local draw and some Cinderella type following nationally.

Do it not for the money - but because it is the right thing to do. Then the BCS includes 7 more teams including Utah than it did just a few weeks ago. Then have some other conferences do the same thing and include even more programs in the BCS.

Bottom line is that every one of those teams (some may argue against Army) are as deserving of a BCS inclusion as Iowa State, Baylor, Washington State, Duke, Vanderbilt, and some of the Big East teams.

President Obama is big on change and reform. He should make it happen. If u don't like the Army / Navy wrinkle - swap in Houston and SMU.

Army should be included just on the basis of history alone! Not to mention the whole premise of what the academy stands for. I would bet teachers and administrators from Cal and Stanford would be pretty upset if any of the "warmongering" service academies were invited to sit at the BCS table. They don't hate just "peculiar people".

most importantly, no one needs BCS money like...

THE GOVERNMENT.

Sounds like TCU at this point. Probably has to be a Texas school to keep the legislature out of it.

If this goes down, how pissed will Boise be? Sure, there will be more TV money then the WAC, but for how long?

LOL! Going from ESPN (crappy times and crappy $) to the MTN (just plain crap!) FUNNY!!! But they would get to have of the great commentators that we have grown to love and adore!

If TCU and BYU leave the MWC I see them (MWC) inviting Fresno St. and possibly four others probably between these schools, SMU, Nevada, Tulsa, Houston, Hawaii, and ND ( :P ).

Maybe not the Government but surely our "military" (which is now a bad word in the current administration). :~(

I'm a bit skeptical about all this, I hope I'm wrong, but wouldn't you think that we would've heard something from say a Chip Brown or someone like that if there was something going down? The fact that this is all coming strictly from one side leaves me a bit weary to believe the accuracy of this. Again, I hope I'm wrong.

Chip only tweets what Texas tells him. There is no advantage to Texas if this "leaks".

What is the advantage of not leaking this information? I was thinking about this this morning, why keep the secret?

Conference armegeddon is over, it's not like this news is going to unsettle any other BYU suitors or drive schools out of the Big 12.

Seems like more of a test to see if BYU is the type of school that follows directions (aka Texas' directions) or whether they're a whiner like Missouri or Nebraska. I can only think that silence plays into Texas' hand more than the Y's. But like I posted earlier, BYU has very few cards in its hand. Big 12 has almost all cards in their hand and other options.

Put me in this camp. I will tell you what is going on. Holmoe is probably in dallas attempting to persuade the bi12 to expand and include byu. the big12 says i don't think so. my guess is that he is indeed there doing all he can but even that may not be enough.

i think they will expand but byu's chances dwindle as more time goes by given the political situation in texas.

The advantage is that they can expand without as much political opposition from within texas. texas probably wants byu if it adds money for tcu and/or houston. that is becuase it provides them more flexibility. if baylor, tcu, and houston are all in the big12 if texas every wants to leave the texas legislators are going to block that in a heart beat. if its just baylor and a&m there is more flexibility for texas to leave those schools in teh dust in the future if its in their interest.

by tweating this it will just get the interest parties in texas kicked into high gear trying to get texas schools added. the silence i think helps byu in my opinion. if they were going to add byu and say air force over texas school then i would think they would want to do it quick and without any leaking. that ups the chances of it happening.

Ok, nothing new from G-man so far this morning. Orangebloods is reporting there is no movement, and in fact that Holmoe isn't talking to anyone from the Big 12.

I guess I should just stop thinking about this until a press conference is called at legacy hall to make an announcement.

Gman is stating that Holmoe wasn't in Dallas. He is in Alaska fishing with boosters. It seems like all this smoke is much to do about nothing. Gman jumped the gun.
