Uhh, this is a joke, right? Here's a little help:

http://www.techterms.com/definition/digital

By the way, you may want to be careful the next time you use the word "gay" or "fag". These terms have evolved over time and probably don't mean what you think.

Yes. It was a joke. Thank you for making the experience funnier though.

p.s.--your fingers and toes are still digits: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/digital

Thanks for the clarification - good thing I used the term 'digital device' and not 'digit device'! On a side note, I recently saw the TCU mascot in person attending a Utah gymnastic meet. It looked much more 'horny' then it appears to be on TV.

As a medical student I had to do a lot of digital rectal exams. While technically there is nothing binary about a digital rectal exam there was a "1" on my hand and an "0" on some poor patient's butt.....

In medical school when I'd express interest in not doing a digital rectal exam I was told that there are only 2 reasons why it should not be done:

1) You don't have a finger

2) The patient doesn't have an a$$

Fortunately in my current specialty I am far removed from sticking my finger in folks' butts.

I hope this sheds light on the subtleties of the digital debate.

*sigh* I even gave you a link to help stimulate your sense of humor.

The top three meanings of the word "digital"?

1. of or pertaining to a digit or finger.

2. resembling a digit or finger.

3. manipulated with a finger or the fingertips: a digital switch.

What was meant to be humorous has been completely destroyed by a lack of humor. It's like throwing jokes into the blackhole of funny.

Okay, this is my last post on this but it just doesn't make sense why the medical school you went to would require patients to bring their livestock to their medical examinations. Really, who wants to take their a$$ with them everywhere they go? Seems like there wouldn't be enough space for both myself and my a$$ in those little offices.

I'm thinking that the number of LDS athletes (the BYU women's rugby team excluded) that have a problem competing on Sunday is not very big.

Does the U really market itself to LDS athletes as a Mormon-friendly environment?

There's a big difference between working on a Sunday and playing a hobby sport on a Sunday. Maybe there shouldn't be, but there is.

I disagree with this. While I do believe that there is a difference between being a fireman and working on Sundays and going out to the park and playing football with the boys on Sunday, I think professional sports are a legitimate career. Nobody questions the accountant that has to take business trips on Sunday, or the military man deployed, TDY, or otherwise working on Sunday. Just because football is a hobby for some doesn't mean it's not a legit career for others. Just my $.02.

Not the ones I grew up on! You had to use your whole arm to get it to work. I can still remeber the first time I tried typing on an electric after having used a manual up to that point. It went something like this:

DDDDDDDDDDDeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaarrrrrrrr SSSSSSiiiiiirrrrrr,,,,,,

I got a little better as I typed! :)

I disagree, the military should not be allowed to kill on Sunday!

As for me and my a$$, we will keep ourselvs safely away from all things descriped as "digital".

why are you guys describing your anatomy using dollar signs. Is it worth money or something? Should I be calling you J-lo? or Megan Fox?

if you're going to intend a swear word, and make sure that we all read a swear word, but not WRITE the swear word cause that would be 'bad'....

Little did you realize that you had an electronically stimulated finger (digital?) stutter.

I was under the impression that the individual school got some leeway when it comes to scheduling home games. I certainly could be wrong about that though.

Does Utah not play any games on Sundays at all now? I guess I always assumed they would since they are a state school with no church affiliation.

Absolutely. You'll hear about the silent majority of LDS students enrolled on the hill. You'll hear about the biggest CES/Institute program outside of Provo. You'll hear about the conversion stories of guys like Eric Weddle and others. You'll hear about the U's accommodation of missionary service. KWhitt's even done some firesides.

And here's a relevant question that was brought up on a linked article: The :utard: was founded by Brigham Young. There are several prominent LDS leaders (including President Monson) who are U grads. Will Prop 8 and the "Mormon Thing" stick to Utah? When they go to P-12 stadia will they hear some degree of the awful bigotry that Cougar Faithful have endured for years?

The answer to this is yes and yes. I know everyone wants to play along with how great Utah fits into the PAC10, but the hatred for anything related to Prop 8 by the CA Universities is overwhelming. They don't like Mormons, and they don't like the state of Utah because to everyone in CA:

UTAH = MORMONS

It's just a fact. And this association will never go away. If I were Utah I would have made the same decision to go to the PAC 10 because there are too many $$$$$ and national exposure opportunities, but as a BYU fan I would NEVER want to join the PAC 10 (and I realize this is a mutual feeling) because of the ridicule our athletes and fans would take week after week. The whole conference would be what the BYU/Utah rivalry has become - Nasty.

No. The conference schedules games. Utah does not play Sunday games except for rare occasions (like the NCAA tournaments, but these appearances will become even more rare with their move to the PAC 10). Just take a look at other PAC 10 schools and you'll see that they have a game almost every Sunday of the year. This isn't just a once-in-a-while occurrence and there is no way they will let one school opt out of Sunday play (or even limit Sunday play). This will be a huge dynamic shift that will affect not just the athletes but the families and university staff. Football won't be affected too much, but all the other sports teams that are filled with local athletes will see a significant impact. As the title of this thread suggest - it will be interesting to watch.

What if they had a Sunday game and no one showed up. Maybe they would get the message. The Saints really should not attend a Sunday game.
