All NFL teams keep 3 QB's. Every one. So Beck has a shot to stick as the 3rd guy. No 4th QB will be kept, unless they are on the developmental roster, but highly doubtful. But I bet he suits up for the Skins next year.

from the si article. take it for what ist worth:

"Beck faces an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster, especially considering Mike Shanahan has a history of carrying only two quarterbacks during the regular season. Donovan McNabb's backup, Rex Grossman, ran a similar offense a year ago in Houston, where Kyle Shanahan was the offensive coordinator."

It looks like Beck is being groomed to be an OC some day. How many difference offenses has he had to learn in his career counting BYU?

New offense in 2003. Same offense in 2004. New offense in 2005. Same offense in 2006. New offense in 2007. New offense in 2008. New offense in 2009 (although this may have been the same as the 2007 offense.). New offense in 2010.

This was really what I meant in my first post about Alex Smith. I think he had something like 3 OC's in his first two years.

Difficult for any guy to excel when stuff like that is going on around them.
