allcougI just saw that Utah State was our last game of the season in 1984. We played them on November 24, the week after we played Utah. Of course, we went on to win the national championship that year.
I, for one, would like to no longer play Utah. I wouldn't be opposed to playing Utah State during rivalry week every year. For starters, every one outside of Utah won't know the difference between Utah and Utah State, so they'll still think we beat Utah' every year. And Utah State has some pent up anger towards us, but it never seems to get ugly like the Utah game. Utah State fans are die-hard fans. They REALLY like their football and appear serious about getting there program back to winning. It would be a fun rivalry week.
Utah will not only become a mediocre team in the PAC but they fans will no longer be able to enjoy RIVALRY week.
The more I think about this the better it sounds: Playing in a Turkey Bowl, Thanksgiving diner and the Utah State game as our last game of the year and complete our undefeated season.
