It's a PAT. If it's from the hash, it should be automatic, with either foot.

Wow, you didn't address anything I said at all.

Each time I see this exchange, I laugh a little bit harder than the previous time.

I laughed out loud on that one as well.

1 of 6 kickoffs staying in bounds? that will kill a new defense and immediately smother the momentum from the scoring drive. And make for a very long season. ugh.

Or are you joking and I missed that?

I'm pretty sure it was sarcasm

???? It's a PAT, how can the block NOT be his fault, if it is from the standard spot.

Maybe I should type slowly so that you can understand ;) I kid, but if one guy misses his assignment on the PAT, then his man could theoretically block the PAT even if the kicker completed his assigned duty, or the snap could be poor, causing the kick to take longer than usual, or the holder could bobble just a little, causing the kick to take longer than usual, etc. etc. etc. that's why it's a team sport.

When is the last time you saw any of that happen on a PAT to BYU? Especially from a returning starting line, that is 7 deep. And let's not pretend that Payne hasn't ever missed a PAT outright.

Don't you think that it is also likely that "sketchy from 30 out" Payne kicked it low? Therefore slamming it into some guys arms that are up.

It's funny because he was asking about location on the other misses (ya know the 3-pointers), and then asked a separate question whether the blocked PAT was his fault or a missed assignment. You somehow read the two questions into one to give an answer that answered neither of his questions directly. That was the funny. We all read things a little too quickly sometimes, and Schmoe's response was classic.

Yeah, I see it, I guess. I feel like elementary school all day, walking around with my fly down. Not knowing what was so funny, haha.

I was just saying that there is a 90% chance the block is his fault, that if it is from regulation PAT hash, it should be automatic as far as the kicker making it. But that is the problem I guess, that we score a TD, and then we all hold our breaths. Glad I could make everyone's day just a little better

Well, I look at it that our kick rush might be good this year. Would love to see us get to some kicks this year. Always a nice momentum boost.

Just like we have the last few years. This in one improvement I have noticed in special teams. Rarely gets mentioned, but it has a huge impact on momentum and the outcome of games.

That is just retarded. do we have any decent backups? it seems to me that we dont because if we did we probably would be playing them.

Payne makes two 49-yard field goals only to get injured. Great...

Stephenson then comes in and misses his first field goal, a 42 yarder.

I think BYU just decided to stop rushing the kicker really hard today. At least Payne. Will have to practice the kick block v. someone else.....

Wow Payne made two 49 yarders today. Impressive and suprising.

Maybe now they'll fulfill my teen fantasy and bring in Kathy Ireland to place kick. It worked wonders for Texas State University.
