No, just reality.

I think I gave him a bit too much credit, saying he only guaranteed 4 losses the last time we had to replace our quarterback, two best TE's, and BYU-rushing-record owning tailback. Before the '07 season, didn't he guarantee a losing record???

Maybe we should be taking his ONLY 4 losses guarantee as a compliment!
How is an 8-4 prediction a slap in the face for this season??? Considering all that has transpired and what BYU lost in the off-season, that would be quite an accomplishment.

The problem is the BCS vs Non-BCS bias. If we were in one of the big six and had been top-25 for four years straight we could lose the entire line, qb, four rbs, eight wrs, six tes, our entire starting d, all of them all-americans, the coach, the trainer, and the waterboy and still be ranked in the top 20.

Its the guarantee that is the problem.
So if I just leave it at 'my opinion' is 8-4, does that calm you down?
Last time BYU was in this situation they went 11-2. They have won 10 or more games 4 years in a row showing that they can adjust from year to year as they lose key players.
When was the last time BYU faced the prospect of a freshman starting at QB, losing your starting RB to the honor code, your best TE graduating and facing 3 teams ranked in the pre-season top 25 all on the road? And, the reason BYU is able to 'adjust' to losing key players, as you say, is because they get 5-6 automatic wins every year playing UNM, UNLV, CSU, Air Force, Wyoming and Suck Dog State (Aztecs)!

Yeah, like a cancer patient misses their chemo. ;)
Unlike many of the posters here who wish you'd never come back, I find your complete lack of reality and your inability to correctly report facts as a breath of fresh air. Keep 'em coming!
No, I think you're confused 1967... the problem aren't the stats or data I post, it's how you guys interpret it and brush it off as 'twisted bias' that's the trouble.

Are you saying you honestly saw BYU beating Oklahoma? That freak injury to Bradford was the only reason BYU didn't lose 3 games and yep... a 4 loss prediction would have been WAY OFF huh, especially when Utah, with a rookie QB, took 'em into OT at LES?
