After I left BYU, I went to UCF, and graduated from there. Needless to say, I am a BYU fan. I have never went to a single UCF sporting event, that would be cheating on my vows, but I will go to those games and will root completely for BYU and I hope to bring some of my friends who root for UCF. UCF has an up and coming athletic department, so I'll be excited to see the schools play, besides, it only a forty minute drive from my home.

I think the scheduling problems are now gone. Funny how the MWC boys are trying to pretend like BYU is going to fail with independence, while the AQs school are virtually inviting us into the club. Is that a thank you for making sure that the MWC is not the 7th BCS conference?

I would not be at all surprised if there were a concerted effort by BCS powers-that-be to (reluctantly) let a few of the top non-AQ teams into the BCS party to avoid having to bring another entire conference in.

I have been thinking this for weeks, a 'consolidation of power' so to speak. By pulling Utah out of the MWC and by encouraging BYU to go independant the powers in the BCS have crippled the MWC from claiming they are just as good as the other conferences. They have one more mouth to feed (Utah) and potentially another (depends on what the BCS decides to do with BYU) but its better than 9-12 in the MWC as a whole.

I know, I know... It's Jay Drew's tweet, so take it for what it's worth. I only mention it cause it's along the lines of what Italics had already said.

Look for #BYU fb to schedule Clemson, Texas Tech in the not-so-distant future. Source tells me discussions ongoing with Tigers, Red Raiders

I live in Lubbock. Tuberville said there are no discussions and have been no discussions to add BYU to the schedule.

Time will tell. The 2011 schedule seems pretty established, so there's still plenty of time for this to happen or to not happen in the future. My source told me something may be worked out with Clemson, and others are reporting similar things. Like anything, it could happen, or it could not.
