Coaches Poll: 24th - AP: 32(tied)

This is what gets me--I don't think BSU is the #1 team right now--Alabama is that team for me. But how do the coaches give OSU 4 first place votes and BSU none?



I'll tell you how:



Bret Bielema, Wisconsin; Bill Lynch, Indiana; Jim Tressel, Ohio State; Ron Zook, Illinois--four Big10 coaches with votes.



And this is coming from a confessed OSU fan. They aren't a top-5 team.



Then again, it's hard to get too upset when Chris Peterson himself voted 'Bama #1.

We moved up four spots in the coaches poll and two spots in the AP. Not bad for the first week. (things stay pretty muddy when everyone is either 1-0 or 0-1)

With the teams that are in the top 5 there's no way you could keep out Ohio St. Saying if you were to hold everybody to the same standard. I believe that they belong there, and until I'm proven otherwise... Maybe it's my scarlet and grey goggles?

This is pretty much what I was going to say. We should have started out higher than teams like Pitt to begin with (They lost 11 starters and have a new QB and we're a better program than they are). We clobbered Oregon State just 8 months ago, then they lose to start with and we win and they somehow get more votes?



The AP poll is a joke. We gained a measly 12 votes for beating a supposed heisman trophy candidate and Washington team who some had contending for the PAC 10 title this year. This speaks volumes for the fact that BYU did not, and does not, get any exposure on the horrible MTN network.

Surely they made a mistake. So what if it was Bronco's 50th win or that UW was scoreless second half? We're MEDIOCRE i tell you! Can't they see how many little freshman we're playing? So what if it was against a Heisman candidate on a team picked to win the Plaque-10( 11? 12? what is it these days?)
