Sno, I anticipated this type of balanced response. I thought I would ask, since some Heaps-o-love-Nelson-haters were sure to jump on this.

I also think Bronco made this point clear to the guys when he asked them to buy into the 2 QB scenario. I think each is well aware that if they go cold, the other guy gets hot, and the game is on the line, their role for the rest of the game is going to be #1 cheerleader. If these two have really bought into the 2 QB system and the team first mentality, they will have to accept it. I doubt either will like it because they are competitors, but at some point the fairness in chances to the two QBs needs to give way to what is best for the team.

Because AF runs the option and practices everyday against running QBs, Nelson will not be able to run for much, and Nelson's passing is suspect.

I still don't understand this line of thought. Didn't UW practice every day against Locker? How good were they at stopping Nelson? It's a dangerous way to think, especially since this week all AFA is going to practice against is the scout team running BYU's offense.

Sno, agree about AFA against the run. This theory is akin to saying that because BYU is a great passing threat, BYU's defense (who faces their offensive counterpart in defense) should be one of the best against the pass. Unfortunately, history has shown that this is not true.
