Official BYU - Air Force Game Thread

Lucky to be only down by 7

You have to win the passing efficiency game. BYU's rating the first half: 57.90. AF's 200.17. Impossible to win when 1) you're that ineffective and 2) aren't making plays on the other end.



Last five BYU-AF game PERs:

Better pick it up or we're in trouble.

Pick a QB, I don't care which one, and stick with him. We cannot get any momentum at all on offense. At least mix it up and be less predictable than every other series.

Chambers has missed two TD passes and a fumble recovery. Logan has missed an INT on the last drive. We have to take advantage of these opportunities.

I don't see the 2 QB's being the biggest problem. If it weren't for 2fumbles, we are up in this game. . .

Got to shut them out the second half. I think I called it 34-21 for BYU. My pick is still alive!

I agree with that, 3 turnovers in one half and you are lucky to be only down by 7. But I still think we are better off with one QB. Or how about trying to establish the running game. With our size advantage on the line we should be able to run it down their throats.

How can we not stop the option, when we have an option QB to practice with??? This is sad... Just sad.

My observations so far:



This WR corps is a failure. No playmakers out there to speak of but we don't have a Pitta at TE to mask it. Where in the world is Jacobsen?



DiLuigi and Chambers are still fumble bums. Is this what we have to look forward to with these 2 otherwise talented players?



Rich is also the only player that I can see who can shed a block.



Finally, how do you coach players to make catches? I don't think there's any way. Either you have it or you don't. Props to the Dline picking it up at the end of the 1st half. We need more backfield hits from those boys. Let's go!

what is up with our secondary giving up that early TD pass too?? I thought they were our strength this season on a reloading defense.

Let's hope for some miraculous half-time adjustments. after 3 TO's we're lucky to only be down 1 score.

Gonna see what we're made of, that's for sure. AFA will NOT give this game away. We are going to have to take it from them.

Steven Thomas is lost out there and our LBs, with the exception of Pendelton are struggling. Even So'oto and Manumaleuna are looking pretty sad....To be expected though. They are very young.



Nelson either doesn't trust the recievers or can't make the reads down field, one of the two. I love his running though. Heaps is floating in space right now too. We are in BIG trouble here.

He is probably assigned to the game and is in the pressbox so ergo...stupid Yewt tweets.
