Son of craig oscar.
I find it funny people call you "craigo" . But it works.
I don't want to jump in this fight, but I think for me Craig, it was the way we lost, not the loss itself. Our loss was giving up on passing, and giving up on our young talent. Jake was overly punished and has handled it well, but you just can't screw with young talent like that. That has been, and was very badly handled in the 2nd game and before.
yep, things like that happen in transition seasons. There aren't a dozen current D1 head coaches with any experience breaking in a true freshman in the 2nd game of a season where they also have only 7 contributing seniors. It was a fail game and there may be more this year; but sometimes that's what it takes to build a dynasty in the future. At least at BYU when we struggle, we still sell out our stadium and go to a bowl game (which is what will happen this year).
The tone of this forum has been that of a morgue. No one died, let's support our team and move on; and if there are bumps in the road sobeit. That's what happens with such an inexperienced team with immense talent and little actual flight time. These young guys will eventually spread their wings, but we dont' get to decide when and unfortunately the coaches have the tough job of weighing the risk vs the reward of kicking them out of the nest before they're ready.
Who are we to decide if they're ready? We dont' see them every single day in practice.
Whoever thought that this transition season would be easy was smoking something.
btw dont' worry about butchering the name....I'd rather have people make a mistake with my name than post under any form of anonymity. Trolls and those with multiple identities really ruin this and any forum on the internet. I could name 5 guys on this forum that I would give 10/1 odds on and take all bets, that have had multiple identities on this forum, just to spread rumor or take a stance that they weren't man enough to do on their main identity; a couple are two of the most frequent fliers here. I'll let you do the math.
